Statistically majority of players will play human male warrior but I think qunari options would take lot of players as well since it's new and qunaris look pretty cool, this big horned race.. that just has some hair issues ^^;

 

I kinda think BW should have though their qunari decisions more. Qunaris are awesome but they have been always shown with white or grey, rather long hair. That's nothing close to what we have as options so it kinda breaks lore to me as well. Also the lack of helmets is big turn-off as well, I'm not really happy about facepaint decision.

I hope any Qunari npcs at least have to share the awful hairstyles. None of that ME3 crap where Shepard get's 9,001 awful captain Janeway poof buns while NPCs get long pretty hair.

Really? I would have guessed Rogue with the upmost confidence.

 

Nope pretty sure Rogue is the least played class. (which is a shame given teh obscene amount of damage rogue can dish out).

If there's qunari npcs with decent hair it might be easier to mod so there's that.

What confuses me is that we've not seen any armours for Qunari Inquisitor's that look like they'd cause many problems with longer hair clipping through? For me, that'd not be particularly immersion breaking since clipping tends to happen regardless of how much effort is put into avoid it, so if that's the reason for shorter cuts, it's a slightly flimsy justification?

I'm thinking the poor textures might have something to do with the color. The hair in the E3 demo was decent looking.

Well when I'm talking about long cuts I'm talking about shoulder lenght.. that to me is long already. I always wear boy/pixie-cuts myself. It's just that longer hair could have achieved with buns and braids without clipping issues. Making short hair have more volume wouldn't have made clipping issues either. So clipping can't have been too big issue to overcome. They could have just give us looks with shaven sides and other-wise detailed and longish hair.

Seeing as everybody else is complaining about Qunari hair,...I demand the ability to edit  qunari pubic hair, and why stop there? They should have little killer horns down there as well..

I was dreaming of big and flowy hair of qunaris of cource but realistically this is pretty much what I was excepting them to have (sorry for bad quality):

 

 

The sides could have been shaven. It's just that this hair is from DA2 and even it has lot better texture and more volume than what we are having in DAI. So the qunari hairs are step-back in quality even from BW's previous games which doesn't make sense to me. Why I shouldn't except newer game doing better with hairs than their couple years old game did?

Though I have to admit, after seeing the Arishok again, I'm wishing we had the option to gold leaf our ears.

It's also possible that the horns and hair were both allocated from the same bucket of zots.  That is, time spent on the hair would've meant less time spent on the horns.

That's my thinking currently. If that's the case, they really underestimated the importance of hairstyles (somehow). The horn selection is voluminous, and everyone's happy about that, but if the hair is bad looking then it doesn't matter how good one's horns are, the aethestic is still going to be unsatisfying.

I don't think my exceptations were too high, the 4 hair options is just ridiculous and the quality should be improved from DA2 not decreased. All 3 hairstyles (1 is bald) look flat and they don't have any texture, no streaks for example.

To the devs: I am perfectly fine with the choices because I've always thought the qunari "look" was all about the horns and there are some magnificent horns to choose from.

I dug up some hairstyles which I thought would be fitting for qunari / or which I expected to see for them, art-direction wise.... I just really, really wish that we will see something similar in the future for qunari, be it via mods or through some patch.
While the horn-selection is impressive and absolutely stunning the four hairstyles are incredibly lackluster and bland. And before I play my qunari lady I want some decent hairstyles.

Idk how pointing out the flaws that are visible is raging.

 

Personally I'd be happier with fewer horn options since those are well made and diverse. I'm going to do only two qunari characters and I want 2 nice and different hornstyles, I have already seen the one's I like. In other hand I don't have any hairstyles that I like so the head of qunari will look bad no matter how nice horns are attached to it.

 

Fewer options but better quality and better style would have gone far longer with qunari quizzys than making one aspect amazing and complete neglecting other.

I agree that the hair options for female qunari are absolutely horrendous, but there is no way it's being changed before release so if you want to play one you need to pick one and deal with it.

 

I think the first one was at least passable.

Also I hope they could spend little time on improving textures and making what we already have less flat.
