Okay, 70%. If you can't get the hair right, you may as well not have a character creator.
What kind of logic is that, it's not even 70%
Not every CC is gonna have the hair option you want or have them done perfectly

You dare bring rhymes to my lair?
You must die! (and despair)

That is practically the femqunari tarot card's hair.
(I swear BW's an epic troll with that tarot. Those long flowing locks...then you get to the CC
)
In its own thread. Minding it's business
With a clear warning if you're not interested in it. It's not like it's a bait and switch topic.
Plus you say that like 34 pages is big for a BSN topic. It really isn't.
I just find it silly that some actual constructive and detailed threads get overlooked, yet certain types of topics get over 30 pages in a few hours. It just makes me wonder sometimes. Plus, Bread isn't in the wrong to state what he wrote - it's somewhat true, but alas, "immersion" breaking can come from many things and it's understandable if this could make players not want to dive into a character because of... hair. I just find that being able to actually PLAY that race is in itself, it's own reward as we, you know... get to roleplay and craft our own deep PC - at least to the possibilities that Bioware allows us, but you know...
hair.

With an avatar like that, I can't help but laugh at the irony.
Anita deserves what she asks for. I won't let you slander her.

*snip*
Hair is serious business.
But honestly that's hardly our fault those threads don't garner enough interest and discussion =/
Well it is a reward. I just feel bummed out they did so many thing so well (those lovely, lovely horns) and then you get to the hair and it's...what happened?!? And it's not even hair in general because human/elf/dwarf hair looks fine =/
But yes hair ![]()
34 pages over hair.
Hair.
Is that why you avatar is a picture of Korra cutting her luxurious hair? Something that our Qunari PC's can only dream of having/doing? *rolls eyes* pppplease. lol ![]()
Is it fair to ask for a race but then not want to play along that race's culture? It's like asking for Dalish without vallaslin. It's like a dwarf without a beard. It's like playing human without an offhanded statement about the Maker even though five minutes before you just said you don't believe in him. Did you ever think qunari want their hair that way for a reason?

I mean, just *look* at this spirosz.
How can I possibly be fierce and fabulous looking like this?

You tell me.

pls spirosz don't talk to us about hair till you check that good hair privilege, I saw those Last of Us avatars.

I think it's more of a technically thing than a culture thing

...yeah you know...I really want to know the reasoning for that. It's not good looking. It ruins the bald look (for no good reason really) and it ruins the short hairs as well.

I'm always out of likes ![]()

So where horns, but that became lore too.

Guess facial customization isn't a big deal when creating a character.

"Hair has great social significance for human beings. It can grow on most external areas of the human body, except on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet (among other areas). Hair is most noticeable on most people in a small number of areas, which are also the ones that are most commonly trimmed, plucked, or shaved. These include the face, ears, head, eyebrows, legs, and armpits, as well as the pubic region. The highly visible differences between male and female body and facial hair are a notable secondary sex characteristic."
Hair is strongly associated with the following:
- functional and decorative ornamentation
- gender
- religion
- indication of status
- marital status
- life transitions
- social class
- sexual attraction
- career success
- musical affinity
- age
- political statement
Hair is part of our history, its importance in social roles dating as far as 30,000 years. A figurine known as the Venus of Brassempouy shows indisputable evidence of hairstyling as detailed by the oldest known reproduction of hair braiding:

So... to some of you out there lurking: stop attempting to de-legitimize our historically, sexually, religiously, and culturally-ingrained affinity for HAIR. It's a crucial/significant thing that we've been groomed (no pun) to deify since birth.

Does this not remind you of our special someone?
Actually, there is a human hairstyle that looks incredibly similar to Miley's iconic do'. I can't wait to try to recreate her fabulous visage in-game!!!

Nah Z it's all about the hair, here is who I'm gonna model my Inquisy after

Is the page broken for anyone else?
WTF happened?

I believe all the hair apologists just got OWNED
Anita deserves what she asks for. I won't let you slander her.
She deserves unwarranted attention?
I think it's important to not draw too much conclusions from the things that you see on a place like this. I'd be very, very surprised if the most popular choice is not human, and at no point during development did that change despite people expressing an enthusiasm for other races.
Most certainly most people overall will use human, but I think Qunari will be much more like elf rather than like dwarf.

Different people put importance on different things, that's all. Some people are really concerned about fighting mechanics, other people like crafting. For some creator creation is very important, after all that character is there avatar for the entire game and that includes hair. I don't think it's fair to say one is less important then the other.
Mostly I think a lot of us were really excited to play as a qunari and then the hair options showed up and it's a bit 'wait. what do you mean I can only pick from these four? I don't like these!' and then having to pick between a style we find deeply dissatifying or picking another race and having a character we're less unhappy about.
It's like going to the salon and being told 'you can have a bowl cut or your head shaved. Choose.' Chances are you're just going to leave that salon and find another hairstylest.
