I've spoken with Mike "Laying Down The Law" and he has confirmed these are the following hair styles for male qunari:

Bald

Bald

Bald with a little bit of a comb over

Cornrows

And finally, Bald.

ANd I would be fine with bald if we didn't have those dreadful gangrenous stubs on the hornless Qunari. I will just have to pick a horn style now, but hornless was going to be my choice.

I don't think I'm going to complain about this, even though I would enjoy more options.

Originally DA:I had a human protagonist. I remember it being the case. It was expanded so we could have four races instead of one, more than in DA:O. In my opinion just being able to be a qunari at all is good enough. We got more than that though because the qunari that are possible to make right now as it is look awesome. So I can only thank Bioware for putting that option in the game and enjoy it. :)

I admittedly feel like an ass for complaining about the hair options, but in this case - the options are very very very bad. There are only 4 options, one of which is bald (with spots).

I think one of the other issues I'm having is that most people's qunari inquisitors are going to look relatively the same. The chances of having the same hair and horns is pretty high since each hairstyle is locked onto specific horn styles. It's a little crappy because where is the unique-ness?

And furthermore, it just looks fugly. I am not going to spend 100 hours staring at it. :/

Maybe he's a fan of Jack, if so -

Welp, you've just reminded me of Mass Effect 3.  I must now go to my bedroom and cry for 3 hours straight while simultaneously flogging my backside with a cat' o' nine tails ritualistically until I purge the evil of the ME 3 ending from my body and my soul.

Jack is shaven though not bald. (Actually I'd take a shaven look with the mohawk instead of that perfectly bald except for the mohawk we have now).

Can you pull up the tweet or a link to it?

Sure, just give me until....oh, say, November 23rd, and I'll have that for you.

My flirty charmer with long flowing locks kind of went out the window too =/

She's too vain to rock any of the styles available either so...so much for that.

Acantha Adaar is still going to be feminine and prissy and sophisticated, just... with a mohawk or bald.

Both of those were plot related and were clearly different from earlier games. The brands were told but not shown and the horns were something they wanted to do but couldn't. Seeing longer hair isn't something that needs to be explained. People (and qunari) have varying hair lengths.

Maybe, like Ares said, it just doesn't work with the horns. Sure they want to, but they need a reason in game to explain why they couldn't. By the way, you sure know a lot about the plot of this game, which is unreleased, to make such statements about this game being the odd one out. Did EntropicAngel tell you about it?

I know, I know.  I just wanted to make a slight reference, cause well - Jack needs to be in every thread.

-_- no I listened to the livestream where they explained why the femqunari used paint.

Though flamebait more though. It's useful. Maker knows why I bother responding to you.

I hope you enjoy that run ^_^

I'll have to wait and see if dlc definitely is out before making my decision :(

So will devs be reading this feedback section? That has been weighing on my mind. Sometimes it feels like they are unaware of fan feedback - even of this overwhelming nature.

Earlier I thought one of the devs said not to pay attention to the responses in the forums, as they do not reflect the rest of the fanbase. I can understand that, but why have a feedback section on the forums, then?

Bottom line: I'm stewing over whether or not BioWare would take DLC into consideration. I am willing to pay for it. Seriously.

Of course they do to an extent, but there is only so much that resources can be put into and sometimes even if it's in favour of Bioware, it might not be reasonable elsewhere in the department.  Though, PC users will get it easy with modding of course, but honestly, I doubt they would make this type of addition for a DLC.

Well, I think this has been a productive *****ing session.  Should we all meet tomorrow, same time, same place for more *****'ing and moaning until we get more hair for Qunari?  Steve, that was top notch complaining.  You really dialed it in.  Those numbers were off the charts!  Keep that up and you'll get a promotion for sure!

You aren't getting the point. When did the devs say that they could implement the hair, but they chose not to? They didn't, so you can't say there isn't a reason why it's not there.

Also, I may be a lot of things, but I'm not going to bait someone over hair. I'm genuinely surprised one can be angry over something I consider the least important thing about a character in a combat situation. Baiting implies I say something to get a reaction, but I'm genuinely curious as to why it's so unbelievable that qunari

and

B ) BioWare can't make it work.

Because comparing me to Angel isn't a bait...nevermind Br3ad. I can't be bothered discussing anything with you. Yes I'm that lazy.

I apologize for engaging you. That was my mistake.

Supposedly Frostbite is an immense PITA to mod so...we're not lucky on that front.

Which is ideally why I'm hoping it could be mixed in with something like the black emporium. So at least then it has its place in the dlc. Maybe there could be a little quest area to find the area the mirror is in the first place and get some nice loot and lore extra hairstyles and call it a day.

The game is an RPG with customizable characters. You're implying that the player must be coerced into what all qunari supposedly want as a hairstyle. That defeats CC and it invalidates all qunari we've been exposed to in the past, minus IB.

And that is understandable that you're surprised that a player would be angry over something you find to be the least important in combat. But just because you're surprised (due to the structure of your *own* priorities) does not invalidate the responses from other players. Combat is part of the game. It is not the entire game. Aesthetics, style, customization, and fantasy are also part of the game.

By the way, many warrior races (both real and fictitious) have placed importance on hairstyles that weren't crucial in battle. Look at klingon hair.

Anyhoo, for those complaining we should be happy with the choices we have, I say sure. Once they've been rendered as well as every other race's hair. Like many said, the styles and lack of choice are bad, yes, but we'd deal, the fact that they look poor compared to all the other hair in DAI is unacceptable. Look at female Qunari and her bun style, it looks like that varnished wood we've been promised was gone after DA:O.

And if Male Qunari really only has bald and cornrows, I'll be so pissed. And will probably not play Qunari ever. Seriously though, not even a military buzzcut?

There is absolutely no technical limitation preventing the addition of alternate hairstyles. The only limitation is that of resource allocation.

Are you really surprised people are upset over a lack of CC options? The ability to design your PC to your own specifications is a cornerstone of BW RPGs for many. To them, it provides more immersion than any sort of realistic combat. Don't begrudge others their pet issues. They're just as valid as your own.

It was a joke yes.  But after what was revealed with the Qunari females, would you really be so surprised if it were true?

...doesn't that technically validate Qunari conditioning, upbringing, their cultural lifestyle.... etc?  I understand the RP aspect from a player's point of view, but that in itself can break lore, for said reasons.  My memory is foggy for Dragon Age ][, but did we see many Qunari females, alas - one's with hair reflective of concept art that we've seen?

No. The only Qunari female we've seen was Tallis who was an elf. Who had long pulled back hair.

We've seen no qunari females whatsoever in game.

The ones in the comics...have long hair.

Dude, I don't think we're going to even get a buzz cut... Based off the other races, it seems as though both genders share the same hairstyles (I COULD BE WRONG, but I thought that's what I saw in the CC clip ), which means male Qunari are screwed :(
