I was just hoping for a ponytail or maybe something like the Cintrian pendulum hairstyle in the witcher, with the sides shaved and the center pulled back into a short pony tail. Ya know just something kinda nice.
Please rethink qunari hairs.. or lack of them!

Although I had planned that my qunari had long hair (since qunaris always have had quite longish white hair) I'd still settle with short hairstyles only if they had some variety and weren't so head-hugging. Just some hairstyles that were heavier on top would do. Although people have different hairstyles they like I think there could still be few good one's that majority liked well enough.

Just have to accept it and move on.
Haha that is how things like da2 happen. If anything people should be raging and bitching and all that, until something is done.

I'm just... I'm so saddened and disappointed I don't know what to say... I feel so let down and defeated. I feel like... like I'm completely incapable of expressing my own characters in any game, ever...
If anything is close, it's always someone elses character... when it comes to the player... it feels... we're always screwed...
The frustration is reminiscent of the same struggle I deal with trying to be myself in the real world, and it feels like games never get any better with this...
I only ever get to see characters that are not my own reach the ideals I hope to reach in game with my character but am always unable to...
Is like real life, I'm a woman, but being born in a male body, my entire life is a struggle to simply be recognized as a woman, let alone look anything like I want to be.
Then I go to game, in a game world, where pictures in lore, npcs in games, ect all can look so magnificent and so beautiful. Some even get to wear dresses, and more feminized outfits. But like real life, in my struggle to be the woman I am on the inside on the outside as well, my characters are always stuck with a similar struggle always falling way short.
Is getting to the point where all the excuses just aren't enough. I've dealt with the excuses with games too long, and the frustration is forcing the parallel of my struggle and the character's struggle to become too pervasive for me. This may very well be my last dragon age game. I love the world, I love everything about the game, but this feeling, this frustration is getting to be too much.
For me this is not a minor deal, this is not just hair, or just a dress, or just... so many things... It causes me actual emotional trauma and frustration. I'm so tired of the excuses, if it really is hard, I think it's time some real effort is put into finding a way to make it easier or overcome it. How advanced do we need to become before such things are finally included?
I dunno, I just... I'm so depressed and feeling so defeated right now... too many bad things revealed lately, is actually effecting my real life emotional health... I'm beginning to think I may take my escapes way too seriously, but sometimes they're all I have to escape a horrible life.
With my games starting to feel the same as my real life struggles I'm losing all ability to escape. It's just been too long, with all the same excuses, I'm tired of waiting, and struggling to accept my characters limitations in game, same as my own in real life. I can't wait and compromise forever.

Human females have long hair. You can play one of those and have eyeliner, lipgloss and long pretty hair.
It's just femqunari's stuck with beautiful horns attached to complete garbage hairstyles.

I'm not sure if DA:I goes gold yet (probably gone gold by now). I was hoping Qunari will have longer hairstyle and the horns weren't attracted to hairstyle.

I am disappointed by this too, I expected it to be bad but not this bad. I thought we would at least get some with a little bit of length at the back or something.
It is only hair options though, and everything else about the CC was amazing. The horns looked really good, the skin complexions and tones were awesome, I loved the deep customization of the face shapes and eye colour. I still can't wait to make my Qunari, I will just have to make her without long hair. I guess we got the horns instead of better hair options.
Still though, I wish the ones we do have at least looked a bit better than they do, the only one I like is the Mohawk. Usually I would have gone with the bun but the mesh looked awful in that demo. Maybe they will at least have polished them up a bit by release.

I'm genuinely surprised that there is even a possibility for anything to change in the game (bugs and all) at this point. The game goes on sale in 6 weeks. How long does the disc production and packaging take? I would expect it would be beyond the "make a change" point.

I do agree, tying hair to horns is not a great choice. What if I like one hair style but a different horn style. That is not the best.
The thing is looking at the hair and horns...
I fail to see the reason they need to be locked to each other. The hair doesn't come close to clipping with any of the horns because it's so short.

Well Bioware does seem to still be adding things in a lot later than most other companies. Someone pointed out that this demo still had the +50 health racial ability for the Qunari so it's probably not the current version of the game. Also, even after the game goes gold they can still add things to it in a patch, lots of companies do that although it is mostly just for bug fixing. I doubt we will get any improvement though, possibly better hair textures if we are really lucky.
We already have confirmation that these are the only hairstyles.

So you say there won't be any patches or any future DLCs? XD
It's not too late. Yeah, we may not get it in the start, but if enough people will be vocal about that, we may get some extra appearance packs in the future, or just have the styles added with some of future DLCs. Or in best case scenario they will be added with one of the early patches. And there will be patches, I'm sure of it.Nowadays all games need them at launch.
Also, I still hope there will be something like black emporum DLC later on. And I remember reading something about devs wanting to do it later on. That would be a great opportunity to add extra styles with it.

I really doubt most people expect them to make changes to the game so close to shipping. I certainly don't. The purpose of these threads is to air out our grievances - to get the frustration out of our systems and perhaps have someone from the dev team recognize that this is an issue that quite a few people care about. And hey, if we're lucky, maybe they'll make a DLC or an expansion that includes an upgrade. It may not happen - it probably won't happen - but speaking up doesn't cost much. Squeaky wheel and such.

To be honest the lack of long hair does not bother me. Female qunari have such beautiful faces anyway and I'm just happy to be able to play as one.

I've never liked mohawks. That and the mohawk isn't even high enough for me to be like "I can dig this a bit"
The cornrows are meh. Too short reminds me of my little cousins' hair when my aunt just slapped it together in a rush so we could go out before actually doing her hair.
The bun looks bad. (It wouldn't be so bad if there was more hair to it in the back. But there's not).
And that cornrow bun mix thing is an abomination.

Meh, each to their own, I guess. I think they look fine, and the horns are the real draw here for me tbh.
Of which, I think some of the options look really, really sweet.
