I can't quite tell, but are they only on the skin, or actually 3D. Are there.. like... divots in the skull or something?
they aren't flat if that's what you're asking, they're slightly elevated.

That actually looks good but the huge question is, would adding such flowing hair expose technical limitations that this engine has? I mean it's one thing having hair but long hair and horns might add in another layer of complexity.
These look wonderful though.
It probably would.
But humans already have long flowing hair so it's nothing we won't already see anyway.
Which is why I'd be willing to pay for them.
If they just port the human hairs though that should be free =/
They could do that, though wouldn't they have to rework the hair to fit the qunari facial structure?

Alright here goes. Careful, It's like an eclipse everyone, so don't look directly at it for more than a second.

I'm not sure if it is actually sunken in at the center or not. My guess is that it is not.

True but humans didn't have to deal with the horns.
I'm thinking with the dynamicity of the hair it might cause a few collision detection issues as well a clipping(which would be the main one). Only speculation though, a developer would probably give a more detailed reason.

they aren't that long, they're medium size at best

They probably would. But I wouldn't be willing to pay for a port of old styles that they could've done in the first place instead of giving us the poorly done styles they did.

I think I'll live with hair not being free flowing. (I'm not expecting that from BW games anyway). If the hair's a little stiff I'll live. I might laugh if they're in a windy scene and my quizzy's hair is perfectly still but that's not something that'll render it unusable to me. The only hair I see really causing an issue is the one with the braid across the horn and they could just remove the hair infront of the face part.
Otherwise if the hair is too long for armor just chop it off right at the shoulder. That's long enough for me.

Isn't the female long hair a bit past her shoulder? Most of hte femQunari ones are that length. I could live without the styles that are much longer than that or they could chop it off at the shoulder. I'd be fine with that length.

Aren't hornless qunari supposed to be scary? Now you know why.
I agree. d:Don't remember them ever saying that, but if that is indeed what they said then they shouldn't have called them "hornless"
They have at least four hornless qunari, it's not the same as the stumps.
Going to edit this with pics in a minute.

Pretty sure the only reason you don't see it on the lower left one is because the hair hides it.

Urgh....But....
Damnit, Bread.
I concede defeat.
For now.

No, I think it went just above the shoulder or the middle of her neck

...doesn't that technically validate Qunari conditioning, upbringing, their cultural lifestyle.... etc? I understand the RP aspect from a player's point of view, but that in itself can break lore, for said reasons. My memory is foggy for Dragon Age ][, but did we see many Qunari females, alas - one's with hair reflective of concept art that we've seen?
The hairstyles in the DAI CC aren't lore. So that argument is moot, anyway. And our qunari isn't even part of the Qun. So what kind of conditioning, upbringing, and culture would she be part of? She's Tal-Vashoth. To my memory, according to devs, she's technically Vashoth - born outside of the qun, having zero upbringing within their culture. But they use Tal-Vashoth as the label for some reason. I forget the explanation. It's out there, somewhere.
As for DA2, there were no female qunari (the race, specifically) in the game. There is a female present in the comics. There is concept art of females. The female tarot card shows a qunari that looks nothing like what the qunari CC would remotely allow you to design.
None of it adds up to what we find in the CC.

looks fairly long to me.
Either way a femqunari hair with length comparable to the above is more than enough for me.
Pretty sure the only reason you don't see it on the lower left one is because the hair hides it.
nah, if that were the case you'd still be able to see some of the darkened skin right below the hair line.

then wtf.
Why is the only true hornless style forced to have that ugly hair? We can't be hornless and bald?
looks fairly long to me.
I stand corrected, though I still consider it medium ![]()
I agree. d:
Will edit previous post with a link to this post instead. I went back to look and to my horror realized that you're right. There is only one hornless hairstyle. The other three have obvious stumps when looked at in freeze-frame. I was disappointed in four. <.<;; One is ... more disappointing ...
And that short style with a center part is.... so not fab. My ManQunari would melt into a puddle under the white-hot scrutiny and judgement of Vivienne and Dorian were he foolish enough to sport it.
I can't.
It will not happen.

Oh fine since you must be right ![]()
anyway *comforts sandalisthemaker*
We shall mourn together!
All qunari, male and female up to this point have had long hair. If anything, long hair would appear to be a part of their culture. Not short hair.
Hm. Other than Sten, I don't recall any in game qunari having long hair.

Jesus Christ....... Frostbite 3 is amazing. These models are so hype

Every qunari in DA2.
Granted they were just clones of one another, but still.
