Seriously. The fact that most everyone was like, "WHOA HE IS BALD!" when they first saw Iron Bull speaks volumes.

I guess people like to justify things that they can be happier.. but qunari hasn't been short-haired and bald race before so that justification of those hairstyles don't work at all. Not when in every concept art they have long white hair that flows in the air. There simply isn't any lore reasons for qunaris not to have longer hair.

So the humans were led by Kolgrim's beard?

Indeed, and since Kolgrim already had an inferiority complex due to his dragon not having the nice horns DAI dragons have, well, you can see why this was a touchy issue for him.

The bottom line is that we should've been able to use the styles given to other races. In the very least for a hornless qunari.

Has anyone tried tweeting the devs about that?

And at the very least, the quality should be equal to all the other hair styles in the CC.

I don't have twitter but I'd be all for it if someone would. But they wouldn't be able to fix that right now, would they?

You'd think after 50 pages somebody would've thought to ask the devs for a 'qunari hair patch'.

So it's not actually about hair but someone was worried earlier about how the skin looked around the male qunari's horns as opposed to the females. About how the skin didn't seem to blend into the horns. I noticed the qunari shown in the new crafting vid has a different texture there and it does appear to blend. So I guess it just depends on the complexion you choose.

Still bald tho

If the Complexion slider can remove the necrotic patches from the hornless qunari's scalp, I will be most pleased.

They probably did along with asking for Hair DLC

We've been in dialogue with Allan through this feedback thread and he said he would pass the word on.

Patches or DLC (appearance packs) at a later time would both be viable options.

So has anyone tweeted/gotten Dev response on this subject yet? Relying solely on this (admittedly popular thread) is a little unwise.

I want to say someone quoted and replied to me about twenty or so pages ago, saying he/she tweeted a dev. I don't feel like sifting for it - I'm on my phone.

We got Allan here.. I don't know if anyone has tweeted to devs. I haven't. I can tweet but I'm not sure who I should.. I'm not really used to tweeting nor talking with devs ^^;

Won't knock anyone's proclivities to literally throw their money away more than I already have... but hair DLC? That doesn't bother you guys and girls? I'm all in favor of a patch, but I'd rather they spend their time on new regions and campaigns. Maybe I'm wrong here I don't know.

I'd pay for it, mostly in an attempt to convince BioWare that in future efforts need to go to the CC. Sure, I'd love a story-based DLC, but money does talk.

I can't play the game looking bad so qunari hair takes all priority on DLC's for me at the moment.

I dunno, man. BioWare always releases appearance packs with armour, weapons, clothing, and accessories. They did it in ME and DA. So....my train of thought is this: the devs insisted the hairstyles were locked in. Would the suggestion of a patch even be considered after saying that? Maybe. Hell, hopefully. But DLC will most definitely happen over the next few years. You'll get your campaigns as usual, and there will most likely be - as usual - appearance packs. They can include hairstyles in the latter.

Would I prefer a free, expedited patch? Of course. But I'm weighing all options, trying to look at which ones are more likely to occur.

What I'm trying to explain to you is that the project, as a whole, has a cumulative budget. Departments are allocated money from it - yes, I get that you are making that point. My point is that the Dragon Age Inquisition project, as a whole, has a cumulative budget including single and multi player. They had the cash, but made some asslancing decision to allocate a portion of it to multiplayer when they should have solely focused on the core, vanilla game.

Someone had to give a department that money. Someone in charge of the full budget.

MP most likely had it's own resources because MP will bring in money via packs. MP payed for itself pretty much.

If anything the additional MP gave them more funds in general since the game's profit expectations probably grew because packs.

Now on the single player side...they decided to animate 2 extra romances for a very limited amount of players when they couldn't bother fixing a races hair to it being acceptable is where I am more confused because all that is SP money and they claimed they did it because they had left over resources and extra time.

So...you couldn't fix the hair instead in that time?

(Or they don't think they hair needed to be fixed in which case...uh...)

I strongly believe appearance-based DLC would not trump story/campaign DLC. We will be getting both, with or without hair. Every ME and DA game has given us both.

I'd like to see race options (including Qunari) make a return in the next game. This is very important to me.

Humans are vain and shallow creatures. In a game with such a complex and beautiful character creator, players will shy away from characters that don't have as many customization options.

If Qunari have more/better hairstyles, they will be more popular, which improves their chances of being included again in the next game.

Effort DID go into the CC though, the lack of qunari hair variants doesn't undo all the other myriad of options the CC has (waaaaaaaaaaaay more than previous CCs).

About hair dlc, if more hair options came bundled with other appearance customization options or with new armors and outfits, that wouldn't be so bad (provided we're talking less than $5 though).

I like the ignore feature.

WE ALL DO! :D
