I think that no matter what happens they should restrict the color of the hair to grey and white.
That I can't agree with. People deserve options. A lot of folks I'm pals with say they want to give their qunari black hair.

I'm thinking blonde, myself.

I'm very happy the developer's decided to expand the color options; I want brown hair. We still have hair/skin color options with them remaining distinctly Qunari.

Because that's all we need right now - more restrictions. Have these 3 hairstyles, now in dazzling monochrome.
Whoa, what is up with the last one on the right in the first row?
And then Ryzaki says he/she is going down to the normal edition because of it. What does the digital deluxe have to do with Qunari hair?
It being 85 bucks and I'm paying that much for hair that looks like that?
Lol no.
Just no.

They should keep black as an option. It looks good with the grey or bronze skin. I'm not a fan of white hair on male characters, but the white hair looks good on qunari women in all the concept art.
Personally, I would never make a blonde, red-head, or brown haired qunari.
I am really loving the hairstyles I see for a human male. I hope a lot of them are available to an elven male and female as well.
I would have loved to have the first, second, fifth, or twelfth for my qunari. Or even the last one. I don't really like the waxed head look.

85? What is the normal edition price? That is silly. I wouldn't pay 85 for it period. So, I don't blame you there. 70 is what it is here in the States and the soundtrack is reason enough for an extra 10 bucks for me.
But my point is, if you are getting the deluxe or collectors edition are you not doing that because you want the stuff? You aren't paying 85 for Qunari hair. You are paying 85 for the entire game and some bonus stuff. In my case it is all for the soundtrack really. I'm not super interested in the armor and other bonus items.

The screen grab captured a falling flake of ash or something right as it passed over the inquisitor's face. Seriously, if you watch the Qunari cc demo again, you will notice them falling periodically. One falls over the female qunari's face at one point. Try to picture the hairstyle without the black forehead blob and that's what it will look like in game
Also, the guys get like 18+ hairstyles (they haven't even shown them all) and the Qunari get 3??? Oh and I guess we have to count the ten or so STUPID variations of "one horn is broken" because they fell off a hay wagon or whatever dumb reason Laidlaw said in the video * rolls eyes*
The only acceptable backstory to the broken horns is the "rough sex" backstory. My qunari needs a sexy appearance (hair included) to make it believable.
I would have loved to have the first, second, fifth, or eleventh for my qunari. Or even the last one. I don't really like the waxed head look.
I love the first, second, fourth, fifth, eighth, and tenth. Those six are amazing.

75.85 is what the deluxe edition plus tax ran me when I bought it off Origin. Edit: My bad I got it wrong lolol. I decided to recheck my cart.
I was mildly interested in the stuff but now with the mehs I've been receiving over various subjects I'm more inclined to save most of my money. The hair was simply the straw that broke the camel's back.
Which really I don't see why anyone cares. It's one thing if I had said I'M NOT GETTING THE GAME!!! And insisted on whining on the forums...cause yeah that's stupid.
But I'm still buying the game. I'm just getting it cheaper. I'm not sure what the issue is.
I would like to try and understand where some of you folks are coming from here.
We've never been able to play as Qunari before. They were never an option period. And from what I understand, originally were not going to be in DAI either.
Now, you see they have (subjectively) lackluster hair options. How is that a deal breaker for the entire game? Would you have rather they not be playable at all?
1) just a note. this isn't going to make me not buy the game.
2) If I cant get a character im making to the point where I actually like their appearance(which, for me, is largely dependent on hair), it pretty much breaks that race.
3) My fav race(of like any video game) are elves and if this was happening to them, I would probably be throwing **** and would either not buy the game or buy it used. Lucky for me that's not the case. But I don't see how there isn't people just as nuts about qunari as I am about elves. So yea that rage is absolutely warranted imo. And I would encourage those people(if I was the encouraging type) not to buy it or buy it used.

People should be able to give their characters bright pink hair if they want, regardless of race. Magic exists in this world - I refuse to believe there isn't some mage out there with a hair salon, promising to turn your mousy brown to an electric blue.

How dare you conserve money!
That's hilarious! Those are literally the EXACT same ones I would choose. All of the rest are "meh" in my opinion. Looks like we have similar taste in guys (aka good taste)
We're twins! My partner - he actually has the hairstyle of the second one. It's super cute! ![]()

Then should we only make the elves having of brown or green hair? The dwarves only red or blonde hair?
Arbitrarily restricting one races hair choices completely is not fair.

A rough photoshop on my part (I am not an artist. Be kind.) but this would have been my ideal femqunari. I would have changed her skin color to something darker, though. I really wanted earplating or some kind of wrapping jewelry for the ear (hence the dragon earring). I was in love with the idea of ram's horns until I saw the hair options. The ram's horns look coolest (to me) nestled against a badass hawk. See, this hawk is much bigger than the one in the CC. And it's more than a hawk, it has braiding etc. The ram's horns paired with the styles they're anchored to remind me too much of Princess Leia from the side.
I dunno. This rough design is overall perfect to me. Wished I could have somehow recreated it in CC.

Nice Jet avatar tho.
Thank you! Jet is the man

No issue really, we are are pretty much agreeing.
My first post was taking issue with people *not* buying the game over hair. Just seemed like a serious overreaction.

Fair enough. Qunari are my second favorite race, and I lost my mind when I found out they were playable. I guess I'm just glad I even have the option.
And to the point of favorites, Orcs and Dwarves are my favorite fantasy races. I wasn't happy with the Orc hairstyles in Skyrim really. But it didn't stop me from loving my Orc! Different strokes for different folks.
Great avatar by the way. I really need to get around to playing that DLC!
