That attitude doesn't help

We can make our voices be heard without being rude about it. I don't think tweeting them is really going to annoy them that much.
An official view I think...
But good luck suggesting it in the future...
David Gaider wasn't the one to ask about qunari hair so I wouldn't say it's completely impossible. He is main writer so I don't think he handles animation things at all so I'd still keep asking on people who do.
Also if he meant qunari hair with the first comment he totally missed the point ^^;
Tweeting some love as well
@dragonage @bioware So excited for #DAI. Cant wait to get home with my copy and start building #MyInquisition Nov18th #pumped #cantwait
@dragonage the indepth on the CC made me Preorder. It just swooped in on me. #MyInquisition #Swoopingisbad
Because even with the Qunari hair as it stands, I am excited about DAI, which... isnt something I thought I'd say about another Bioware game after DA2 and ME3. And as of right now. Hair and Beards are the ONLY things I take issues with.

I'm not on twitter myself, but maybe everyone should keep the tweets to the hashtag and *maybe* at the big twitter names like bioware and dragonage etc...? (meaning don't bug the devs personally)

I don't think their feelings are irrelevant at all. Saying that is extremely callous and entitled. They do amazing work most of the time and should be praised for that, not to mention that we should be grateful that there even are any BioWare games.
They are people just like you; their feelings are not even close to irrelevant.

David Gaider is a fantastic writer, but he always struck me as someone with a bit of an attitude problem... those tweets just reinforced that opinion in my mind.
I mean, if you're addressing an issue that has upset a good number of loyal fans, you'd think you'd have a little more tact and consideration instead of being sarcastic and dismissive about it.
No one ever said it was easy to model new hairstyles for the female qunari. But if the dev team had thought to include a little more variety from the BEGINNING, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Now, thanks to their lack of foresight and common sense, a LOT of people who were looking forward to playing qunari are disappointed. And instead of being understanding, *that's* the kind of response we get? That's charming.

Though I agree, a great deal, lets not go further down that rabbit hole.

I'd even be placated if we did get a response that said something along the lines of "We're sorry we weren't able to make hairstyles to suit the needs/requests of our players for xyz technical reasons, but we hope you'll still be able to make a character you enjoy playing. "

Hey guys,
We've heard you, and It's awesome that you're so passionate about your future Inquisitors. We'll be shipping with the horn and hair options we have now. We may look into this post release but no guarantees.

He's not the one we should be tweeting, Mike Laidlaw and animation department (I don't know who from there has twitter) are the one's who most likely know about the issue and can address it.

Thank for the reply. I guess we can only hope for patch or DLC then ^^

Thank you for the response. Please, please do. It would be wonderful to see your Qunari meet the potential of the other races.

May I take a moment to ask if the current textures of the current styles will be looked at before shipping?
Thank you so much for your response.

I wonder how that mudbun is going to look on PS3 since it's what I have to go if I want to play my qunaris ^^; Hopefully it looks better white or grey colours.

Could you guys please either remove those dark blotches on the forehead of hornless qunari, or at least make them optional?
Well, glad you guys got a response !

Deepest thanks for your reply. I figured changes werent doable this late in a game.
If y'all do end up looking into it, I am pretty sure everyone here in this thread would be happy to give you [more] feedback.
Looking forward to Nov 18th.
And hopefully a future DLC/Patch fixing this issue.

I am a dev myself (not gaming industry though). And yes, I too sometimes act like arrogant ***. But I don't have luxury to act like that with our clients - we have people paid to do that.
In other words, less ^ and more this:

Great companies support their games for free even now, in the era of paid DLC. Bioware has shown that they care when people get angry enough (ME3 extended cut) but on other hand they stop supporting their games with patches too soon. I am hopeful but will see what happens,

Well as a dev, how often have you caved to people demanding things rudely (as you did)? You yourself should know how unproductive it is and that more then anything you as a dev feel disinclined to cater to what they want. Point is, acting rudely helps nobodies cause.
As to the other thing, the ME3 Extended Cut was damage control for the most part, even if it felt like too little too late (and still felt like stubborn refusal as it wasn't the ultimately 'good' ending that most people wanted the ability to at least achieve - no matter how hard it would be to get there). But I don't want to get into that as it's been done to death by now.
Anyone remember the days of Neverwinter Nights 1? Man, Bioware were still releasing patches that went beyond fixes (additional free content) years after the release; extremely attentive to the community when they no longer needed to be.
We have a month and a half, plenty of time for our issues with hair selection for the Qunari, Beard Selection and Hair/beard textures to be (hopefully) addressed
At this rate, if they had spent time on hair but not on horns, we'd still have this thread, but it would be to have better horn variety.
So close to launch, everyone's chomping at the bit for something. As much as it'd be nice to have an Adaar with longer hair, I think the love they poured on to the horns makes those the feature I'll focus on.
