Not too true, I met my brother's (ex?)girlfriend and still didn't get it. Though I do think you make a point, there is no one I want to impress and I otherwise couldn't give a damn, so I don't care for my own appearance all that much.
I'll point out that while I'm not against "the cause" and consider it a valid criticism, I think at this stage asking for more in Inquisition is futile. The game is a few weeks away from shipping so the priority will be making sure that what is there works. "Better luck next time."
Which is why I specifically said -- in regards to the first thing you said here -- that *many* men care about it, not most men (but hey, I've known a number of men who rivaled any woman with how much time they spent prettying themselves in front of a mirror). I didn't say anything about you yourself being on that list, and wouldn't have expected you to be - again, if you were you wouldn't be asking why the hair is big deal.
As other people have already pointed out, Cameron Lee clarified that there is no possibility for more hairs to be added in the main release, and since then we've only been talking about adding more Qunari hairs in relation to a possible DLC or patch at some point after the release; in fact, some people were even mentioning a paid DLC option before his post about the main game. The point is, we're not demanding anything and we're trying to be as reasonable and respectful with our hopes for this to come to fruition as we can.
Hell, it may not happen at all, and if it doesn't then we may be lucky to have player-made mods to fall back on when they're made, but as long as we can show an ongoing and strong community interest in this, and remain amiable in our communications, then nobody can fault us for our agenda or method.
