Xbox One: $400

PS4: $400

Your gaming rig costs more than both of those put together.

I bought mine for a little over $600, I've recently upgraded it but it originally came with:

AMD FX-6300 six core processor

AMD Radeon HD 6450

4gb ram

not the best but it was pretty decent, it was good enough to play BF4 on High with no problems (Ultra was playable but had a slight lag issue). If you can afford a console and would prefer a pc then it's better to just to wait and save up for a pc.

I'm going to end-up playing on my laptop as if were a console by hooking it up to my big-screen tv with hdmi and plugging in my usb wired controller.

Best of both worlds, lol.

Yeah my laptop is older - a good computer for casual stuff like typing and reading these forums, but older. I have maybe 2% interest in fiddling with computers. They are not my bag - not my forte. I want to buy the thing, plug the thing into the other thing and voila - the thing works. I want to buy the games for the thing and know that the games for the thing are guaranteed to work - no upgrading/waiting for money to afford upgrading is necessary.

There are pros and cons to both.

It doesn't matter in regard to DAI because that game seems to be catering more toward console players, namely the Xb1 players. Plus Frostbite, from everything I've been reading, is about as complicated to solve as that evil box from the Hellraiser films. My assumption is that if you try to mod Frostbite, cenobites appear and rip your skin off.

Anyhoo I guess this is getting off topic.

Then ask your self, "Why am I limiting myself by playing on a console?" Just saying <_<

just two little examples

Spoiler

and of course money.

By the way, I find always comments like this quite obtuse and very arrogant from some PC players. -_-

True, but hasn't this thread gotten knocked off topic a few times already? :P

Oh I'm just trying to dodge the inevitable lurking PC fandom from PC-jacking the thread about the awesome wonderful elite-ness of one gaming medium over another.

We haven't even gone into crazy land or inflammatory land yet!

Don't worry, if we notice we're getting close, someone will quickly say something about lack of texture and we'll be fine! :P

Bottom line is that mods are usable only to PC players and thus can't be saving grace for poor console players. Modders probaply will manage to create some nice qunari hairstyles for PC players though.

By the way, even if I had the chance for mods, I doubt I would like them. Usually hair mods are taken from others mods (the Sims 3 for example) and usually are totally umbelivable. I can't look at a PC with perfect curls like she have just gone out of the hair saloon

I'm not against curly hair, I simply find immersion breaking perfectly perfect curls.

I always had difficult find a decent short hairstyle even with mods.

So I've heard that the hornless option isn't really hornless after all could someone please explain that to me if its not to much trouble. Is the hornless option just really small horns or nubs or broken horns? If this is true that really saddens me I was looking forward to making a hornless qunari.

Okay well I am sad then, bit of a set back for me since this qunari was going to be hornless and have dreads but since neither are really an option now. Maybe I can find something to cover up those sploctches maybe darken the skin or something. Might be weird wanting a truly hornless option for qunari but it was an option I was really looking forward to. I love what else I've seen so far and of course I have no idea how hard it might be to put any of this stuff in but I can't help but be dissapointed in the qunari hair and 'hornless' option.

I'm pretty sure there is a genuinely hornless option.

I am really hoping so. I do plan to have qunari with horns of course but I also want some without so a true hornless option would be wonderful.

Sometimes modders port hairstyles from other games which fit better, though. Like the Witcher 2. The last two times I replayed DA:O I used Geralt's hair for my male mage, and Saskia's hair for my female Cousland warrior.

Even then, you can see a little of the splotches at the hairline.

lmfao, I know, right? I don't even see the point of that. They just slapped the low quality bun 90% of the way over the blotches. That way you get terrible hair and unsightly marks...

There's one origin mod, Tucked Hair on bioware social, that I love. It uses a lot of altered (or not) ingame hairs. Like, just with the hair tucked behind the ears, Morrigans hair with a long ponytail, Morrigans bangs on one of the longer loose hairs, Stens hair, the little girl hair with the braids... And so on. And there's some completely new hairs that still fit in.

More on topic;

I've realized that the cornrows aren't actually cornrows at all. They aren't braids. It's more like she shaved her hair into lines on her head... Especially on the hornless head. With horns she's let the hair grow out some underneath the rows.

Also these hairs have grown on me a teeeeny tiny bit... Like some kind of horrifying fungal infection.

The mudbun even looks kind of okay with some horns (the ones that go kinda up, and then curl down and out). And the not-cornrows are almost somewhat passable with horns. The hawke looks pretty good in that one still with the shiny ramhorns. And bald was always something I felt like I could use on my qunari if there were no other options.

But all the hornless options are still absolutely hideous. Imo.

Even if they were great, in my opinion three hairstyles (all short) and the option of no hair at all is not enough variety by any stretch.

I seriously doubt the bugs they were fixing after the game was delayed were gamebreaking.

With all due respect, That shows how little you know on the matter then.

If they didn't delay with would have ended up with a game that crashes every five minutes, like Fallout New Vegas....Or most Bethesda games in general.

Really, if it wasn't important they wouldn't have delayed it. They didn't delay it for kicks and giggles.
