It's almost like one is in response to a major gameplay element that's rebalanced the entire flow of combat, and the other is in response to people getting mad they can't play Barbie's Magical Dressup

And yet here you are, posting in a thread about digital hair.

Also, don't underestimate or belittle people's concerns for CC options.... This is an RPG, after all. Hair is kind of a HUGE aspect of being able to effectively role play certain characters. One could argue that character customization in an RPG is more important than nuanced combat mechanics.

DAI is rpg with CC and CC needs to have hair options. Maybe you like playing bald quizzys, idk. But stop insulting people who want their character look good while playing the game.

Now, now, no need to be condescending. Every playable race deserves equal quality and time spent on their CC options.

 

The fact that three other races got quality, varied styles and we get three badly rendered styles is not equal, and should be spoken out against.

It's *that* demographic that considers those who take interest in aesthetics as inferior.

And it's that demographic that the CC imbalance seems to shift toward.

Yes, it may be playing a little into archetypes, but it's fun as hell!

Like...I wouldn't have worn a dress but the choice not being there at all is a bit =/

 

(Plus it's not as amusing if your PC decides to awkward turtle and wear their armor if there's not even the choice for them to go in a pimped out dress).

In other hand I don't even want to do feminine qunari.. but the current options won't let me do good looking tomboy either. I mean it doesn't matter what kind of qunari I want to do, the hair options are bad everyway. Unless I go bald I guess.

That's a bit unfair to say that

 

The day that's proven otherwise by actual action is a day I will happily eat my words.  As it stands, we're three for three.  Unless you count selling the dragon armor during the dwarven noble origin and wearing the ugly dresses you can buy til they are taken from you.  Or maybe the equally ugly wedding dress thing the city elf gets.  I don't really count them, but meh.

 

Addendum: Though at this point I'll take those ugly dresses back if it means no pant suit.

I guess I wanted to do kind of middle.. I wanted female warrior who had hair in tight ponytail and looked good while swinging greatsword ^^; But yea it's odd that people act like you can't want to have something similar as concept art or comics of the game had. It's not like we want to break lore or sth ^^;

They said it had to do with combat animations being difficult to pair with dresses (paraphrasing, but something along those lines).

 

But they make hundreds of mage robes, so what is so impossible about this?

I've yet to see real mage robes on the inquisitor, just trench coat like things...  I think they want nothing in front of the legs... :/
