This is a sentiment I've read before from other posters that I don't understand. I may leave a game for years, but I always come back to it eventually. I've never gotten so sick of a game that I could never play it again. I still play my SNES and old CD-ROM games when I can. I'm getting ready to replay The 7th Guest here very shortly, as an example, which came out in 1993.
Sorry for the side tangent, but this is something that has always puzzled me.
Welll... I played DA2 once and I can never see myself ever bothering to play it again.
But I am on my 6th DA:O playthrough in 3 years, so...

Eh, no one can say that I don't try to get my money's worth out of a game.

Overall, I have finished more than 10 of each. I should say in DAO, I prefer warrior 2H weapons and in DA II, I generally take 2W rogue...The same bashing everyone style!

Holy are you hardcore! How do you find the time??

In my case (my numbers are similar) it's because I don't play that many games.
I don't either, but I'm a forum junkie. I'll forgo playing to stay online for hours at a time.

I was 14. It isn't really as scary as memory would serve, and in some ways has aged very poorly (the clunky interface and the form of movement come to mind.) However, the voice acting is still topnotch, the puzzles are still nicely difficult (and yes, the microscope puzzle AI is still a cheating bastard,) it's quite creepy and I think the story itself is timeless. I know it's up on Steam right now for $5.99 (US).
Perfect for Halloween.
Dude, do you remember Phantasmagoria? I think that was part of that whole 7th guest series.
Anyway - sorry thread! I know we're a bit off topic with the brief geek-out nostalgia.

Pretty much this. Well, I play a lot of games, but I'm very picky about the games I buy. So I play the crap out of the ones that I do end up purchasing.
It's just funny because bioware has already had previous influences on the varying looks female qunari can have though comics and concept art and have not broadened their horizons or taken advantage of it at all.

EXACTLY, John.
I will say that I find it very odd and kinda sad that the shorter hairstyle (the one that stops at about mid-neck) was considered too long for the Qunari PC.

It probably wasn't considered too long but probably would've had an issue with the horns, not the hornless qunari however Idk

Well I don't think long hair that is slicked back would have had any clipping issues since the horns just take space above and in side of head instead of the area around neck and shoulders.
On the subject of Patch expectations.
The best indicator of future behaviour is past behaviour.
If we assume DAI has a similar Patch/DLC release strategy to DA Orgins (DAII was a smaller release so a less good comparison) then this is what we might see:
DLC 0 (DAI won't have this 'day one DLC') Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep.
Patch 1 (+1 week) - (e.g. Nov 25 for DAI) - Basic game breaking bugs.
Patch 2 (+1 month) - (e.g. Dec 18 for DAI) - More game breaking bugs and some gameplay, plot and balance bugs. [Hair option 1]
DLC 1 (+3 months) - (e.g. February 18 for DAI) - This was 'Return to Ostagar' for DAO. [Hair option 2]
Expansion 1 (+4 months) - (e.g. March 18 for DAI) - This was 'Awakening' for DAO.
Patch 3 (+4 months) - (e.g. March 18 for DAI) - Bugs related mostly to DLC.
DLC 2 (+6 months) - (e.g. May 18 for DAI) - This was 'The Darkspawn Chronicles' for DAO. [Hair option 3]
DLC 3 (+8 months) - (e.g. July 18 for DAI) - This was 'Leliana's Song' for DAO. [Hair option 4].
Patch 4 (+8 months) - (e.g. July 18 for DAI) - More gameplay, plot and balance bugs.
DLC 4 (+9 months) - (e.g. August 18 for DAI) - This was 'The Golems of Amgarrak' for DAO.
DLC 5 (+10 months) - (e.g. September 18 for DAI) - This was 'Witch Hunt' for DAO.
Patch 5 (+1 year) - (e.g. Nov 18 2015 for DAI) - Ultimate Edition related bugs (minor patch)
I've noted times that there are the highest chances of getting some more Qunari hair.
I doubt they will release it free of charge. Since when has Bioware ever done such a thing?

Most folks in this thread are happy to pay.

im in this camp, but i'll go one further and say i only play good games, if i buy a stinker, i will not play it beyond a hour or 2.

agreed, i've bought new hair styles and customizations in games before and im not ashamed to admit it. If it pleases me I will buy it. Don't get me wrong though im not some mindless squander of money, such customizations usually come in packages of around 2 to 5 dollars and contain a sizable amount of cosmetic changes.

I wonder how the Qunari get such form fitting clothing? I mean did tights really exist back in the middle ages? I mean, how did they make such things back then? Yet I look up images of Orlesians
and whala. Oh well, im just curious as to why the women folk amongst the Qunari would elect to wear tights, or tight fitting leather pants? I thought sexuality was repressed in the Qunari though there is no proof of this. I wish I knew more about their sexual nature. Like is it acceptable for a female to seek out sex, or to make herself more desirable through her attire, hair and makeup? Or do such practices get seen as deceitful/manipulative? Sure they have the breeding program but that has nothing to do with desire on a personal level, just the fact they both are the best fisherwoman and sailor in the group, or builder and soldier.

I imagine a lot of the clothing choices Qunari make are influenced by the fact they live on one of the most tropical and jungle-like continents in Thedas, Par Vollen. Being cool, and having little to no snag-able material is probably a boon in that environment. In DA2 the invariably male Qunari of Kirkwall were topless, arguably that's more revealing than the stuff the women wear. Whereas Sten, in the much cooler climes of Ferelden, was covered from head to toe.
Being sexually desirable may not be a factor in a society so heavily controlled by a breeding program - though being appealing to your assigned partner is probably a plus. Or maybe, like all people, they just want to look however they want to look whilst also being in a hot as hell climate.
I do hope some of the Qunari sexuality gets discussed via Iron Bull, as he is a pansexual promiscuous Qunari and it would be interesting to find out if he was such before he started to question his faith.

::shrug:: I didn't pay a dime for Black Emporium.
How about the ME3 multiplayer DLCs? All free.
Personally I always wondered why we couldn't have a style like this one, for example. It could be largely static (with perhaps the exception of a few small wisps, if they wanted to try it; I don't think anyone would care if they didn't though), could easily be made not to clip the armor, AND is suitably feminine. Plus it's a style that could suit any female, not just qunari. One of many~
