We all know the DA I companions and advisers because they have already been revealed by Bioware. I was wondering if some "secret companion or adviser" would be recruitable. Loghain was indeed such a recruitable companion in DAO and was the character who taught you the champion specialization. As I understand, in this new opus of the series, you need to find the people that can teach you the specilizations. Is that possible that they implemented the same thing in DAI than in DAO ?

You can decline. Gotta love Warden neutrality.

As for the topic... I really wish Morrigan is a recruitable advisor depending on your choices. I just hope I don't have to support Celene for it to happen.

If you decline, can you then ask Loghain to teach you? Or are you just outta luck?

Loghain teaches you with high enough approval.

If its secret, why would you expect it to be revealed before launch?

That is not the purpose of such forum. It is just some "suggestions" we may give to the forum's leaders... Maybe, it is, maybe not. I just say that I will find that really interesting. I just created such a topic to see if I was not alone that would be interested in "secret" adviser and/or companions.

hope so that we have someone in secret companion or advisor who will represent "missed factions"(they are in game and we can side with them but we do not know any companion or advisor who represent them) like Dalish, rebellion mages, Orzammar/Kal-Sharok dwarves,Nevarrans, Teviters(not exiles like Dorian but a real magister or soldier)

maybe he/she would be non-human and even a secret LI option..who knows

i think it would be 2 secret companion/advisor

In fact, when I launched the topic, I was thinking about Morrigan. I mean. In the website, 13 characters are present. 9 of them are companions, 3 are advisers. Only Morrigan remains... That was a lot strange for me...

I was wondering if Morrigan shared a place with another mage.  After all, Morrigan is currently arcane advisor to Empress Celene and Empress Celene is a civil war with Grand Duke Gaspard.  Most people are guessing you'll get to pick a side in that civil war, so maybe Morrigan is what you get if you side with Celene...?

If so, maybe (and we're piling maybes on maybes here) if you side with Gapard, you get his arcane advisor.  His last one died, so who knows who his current one is (though he seems to have a preference for mages born into noble houses).

If that's the case, it would make sense why they wouldn't announce her.  If she's playing Schroedinger's advisor with another potential character, they can't really.

Maybe we'll get the option to assume that role if we're a mage? As a member of the noble Trevelyan family, a Human Mage would be right up his alley.

(While a Qunari or Elf Mage would probably be relegated to his dirty little secret)

I think bars and brothels would probably fall under Leliana's domain as spymaster, since having spies operating out of both places would make a lot of sense. I've often suspected that half of the Blooming Rose in DA2 was made up of Qunari and/or Orlesian spies, since it had half of the Templars and nobles practically living there and there was bound to have been a lot of pillow talk.

It's interesting as a possibility, but I'd doubt it'd happen.  The Inquisitor will have their hands full, and likely more power.

If it's a pre-existing character, the only human noble mage characters I could think of who could possibly be running around were Connor...and Emile de Launcet :P

You're right. However, depending on your choices in DAO, Connor may already be dead... Sandal as an enchantment adviser sounds great! If Isabella may be recruited for the inquisition, I think she will be in Leliana's group as a captain or maybe commandant of the fleet? But she may be dead when you face the Arishok in DA II (never occured for me because I find that Isabella is the most refreshing companion in DA II and I never betray any comrad!).

What does an enchantment advisor do? the other advisors advise how to handle political situations, I don't think you can enchanment some duke who doesn't pay taxes (random example I came up with)

In fact, joke aside, if there was any "crafting adviser", I suppose it would fall to Josephine. I mean, what you craftmen will require : gold, raw materials etc... And that requires what : economy... However, having Sandal as a craftman for enchantment would be a pleasure for me...
