Right so i called up my gamestop with my ME2 Preorder about how i will get my blackstorm, they then told me "oh we have the codes in NOW so you can pick it up, its first come first serve!." i then told him i preoerderd my copy eons and was under the impression that the code would be given to me when i pick up the game. i was told that is the case unless we run out by the time i get my game and odds are they would run out soon because "new" preorders were going in like crazy apperently. I was about to explode in anger when a friend told me at his gamestop he was told the code was "inside" the box, and then my friend from west palm told me her gamestop "strictly keeps" the code until you pick up your game.

After investigating at multipul gamestops, one farther than mine already "ran out!" of codes....

I dont know what the HELL is going on but if i loose my code to some guy who stumbled into a gamestop midnight release without a preorder im going to be..well....very Grunt like...

anyone have any information from their gamestops? cause i think mine exists in a completly different alternate reality.

Usually retailer specific bonuses are outside the box, and they simply hand out cards. With Gamestop each store may do different things with their cards. If your store tells you they are handing them out now and may run out, you probably want to head down there. Not because its fair, but because otherwise you may not get your bonus.

The midnight release didn't happen yet, and you are guaranteed the code by gamestop's own advertisements (and yes, I would think it is packed inside the box). If you or anyone else get a run around from a gamestop about getting the code, you have every right to make a tremendous stink about it because that would mean they took your pre-order under false pretenses. No individual store has any leg to stand on if they try to justify not giving it to you - the tv and print ads gamestop bought specifically promised that code in exchange for you giving them money in advance and buying it from their company, and those ads were broadcast and distributed nationally, meaning it was promised in every state of the US.

If they are handing them out then they are violating company policy as they opened the boxs before closing time on Monday, even though they are having the midnight release, gamestop policy is that all material pertaining to the game to be released is to maintain within the shipping box until 9pm the night before release. I worked there for almost 2 years. We had one of our local stores here do that with MW2 and everyone in the store was fired on the spot when the higher ups found out.

also i cant pick up my code now cause as an overworked college student, it is impossible for me to make the trek to the store on the weekend.

If your clerk told you that then he is a douch bag. The only Gamestop I go to has very helpful, very friendly guys behind the counter, and I've never not gotten a pre-order bonus from them. They always hand them out on release day. I'd imagine that if Gamestop handed out bonuses before realease day on a first come, first serve basis, they'd get their butts sued off faster than you could say holy sh**.

After you locate the Prothean (or Collector if you wish since they are now Reaper controlled) base within a black hole in the center of the galaxy where they have taken all the humans from the colonies (and your crew after the attack on the second Normandy) and you use the Omega 4 Mass Relay to reach the base. And after you discover they were using the captured humans to build a human Reaper and you destroy it and blow up the base possibly leaving team mates behind (team mates die from plot choices you make like what position you assign them to and what upgrades you install on the Normandy), you get the ending with you escaping back to known space and you have this huge army of hostile Geth ships.

Weird. I got my DA preorder codes in the box. Maybe EASG does things differently.

The code in the box for DA:O was for the day 1 DLC
