Why do renagades eyes glow red?  I can get behind the red scars and stuff but this is just to much...

it looks freaking awesome. i was disappointed there was no difference between renegade and paragon faces in ME1. that was an awesome part in kotor like when your squad started commenting on how you looked more different if you went darkside

I mean ren. Shepard will get a face like Saren in the end of ME. And par. Shepard will probably look more healthy.

Devs confirmed that you can do a quest to have them permanently removed. I know the specifics of what's going on and WHY the transformation happens but that's a spoiler. PM me if you want to know exactly.

I believe it happens very early in the game when they tell you why the transformation happens but the exact quest to have the problem removed I don't know when you find out about that.

Because BioWare decided that alignment morphs were just too awesome a feature to leave to the likes of KOTOR and Fable so they nonsensically shoe-horned them into Mass Effect, despite all their previous claims of ambiguous morality and there being no real good or evil in the ME universe.



Seriously, I can understand having scars period. But why do they glow red if you're a Renegade? Now if I don't want to look like the freaking Terminator I have to either be a goody-two-shoes Paragon or I have to take on a quest and apparently shell out a boatload of credits to remove this wonderful new "feature"...

Yes I always hated changing how a player looks by good or evil. I hated it in KOTOR since once you became even a little evil I was like "Why do Bastila and Carth still trust me? My skin is gray and flaky." I think true evil is having people think you are good as you screw em over. Like a Televangelist.

The idea that being evil or good changes you is something Bioware has done before. They did it in KotOR and maybe they liked it enough to do it in ME2 in a believable way. It's kinda cool to watch, even though I never play evil. Just a personality quirk of mine.

In fact, it's one of the most badass things about ME2. I can't wait to get my FemShep her terminator eyes. I just hope I can get rid of the scars without getting rid of the eyes. :>

So wait, Say i'm (using the paragon/renegade meter) 95% Paragon and 90% Renegade. What does that exactly look like o.0?

I don't think it's easy to get above 90 on both meters without cheating. >_>
