God-damnit...they don't have a beard like mine...either too small...too stylized....or too short....my beard is like big boss' beard.

Human beards look like crap again....
I bet it'll happen once Cass catches you, and interrogates you.
That...would make a lot of sense, actually. The Inquisitor would probably be a bit dazed, and the Fade would be the first thing he/she remembers for a while.
Hm.
That dwarf looks pretty cool.
...this is making me think, though, is that actually the intro to the game? No peace-conference intro sequence or anything at all? :/
I asked that on twitter and they ignored me ![]()

I am almost 100% that they have confirmed that CC is the first thing you do in game.
I'm conflicted. On the one hand, there's a nice robust CC. On the other hand, time spent in CC is time I'm not spending on the story. Decisions.

That wasn't what I asked. I asked if that's exactly how the game starts (meaning that it starts in the Fade and we miss the explosion).

Oh well my guess is it starts us there we turn around see the glowing figure then flashback! But yeah that's just a guess...
If the game does actually start post-explosion in the Fade, I think it makes it more likely that the Inquisitor is actually a fade spirit who has taken the form and memories of one of the victims of the explosion.

The game starts before the explosion. If you look at the video on twitch when Mike Laidlaw and Cameron Lee were providing commentary, the opening sequence is the templars and mages marching to the fortress to broker a cease-fire and an end to the war. The explosion happens the moment Mike and Cameron went into the main menu and character creator begins when we see the Inquisitor enshrouded by the fade.
HOT DAMN...
Gimme one of these in blonde/icy blue eyes, and I'll be in business....anyone getting a Troy Baker vibe from this one? Or maybe Delsin Rowe?
I want him in my bed. I want him in my bed with only firelight as the light source, and he'll be naked and only somewhat covered in fur coverlets.
Yes...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

That doesn't tell me much? If it happens on the menu, maybe that's their way of starting the game after the explosion, since the explosion literally happens when you start a new game.
Really kind of irks me that I saw at least two or three examples of the kind of hair that I would want on my qunari, but they were all limited to humans.
Wow, they all looked pretty awesome, shame about the lack of male elf and female dwarf though. Seems like there is a massive amount of variation for the humans so if that's the case for all races I will be very happy.
We know for a fact it is not considering the total hair options, including bald, for Female Qunari was 4.

Well considering what you are asking falls under the umbrella of spoilers I would not hold my breath for an answer from Bioware.

You said it. That's what I find the most egregious about this.
Even if they could just do a straight port of some of those hairstyles and have the horns clip through, that would be a better situation than this.

That's not even half the amount male humans got. And they had longer and better looking short ones. *sigh*

I wouldn't really say it's a spoiler as this information is easily available on the Dragon Age website and the trailers have shown plenty of footage near the start of the game. I don't really believe it's an issue either way as BioWare is clearly going to make sure we have enough context and not just confuse the audience and throw them under the bus without explaining what's happening. Whether we have another character like Varric narrate or something more like Origins, there's a lot BioWare could do.
And yet still no female dwarfs.......
Not going to lie, this disappoints me. The two that I really wanted prior to yesterday were a female dwarf and male qunari. And then, we got everything but those two and a male elf. Urgh!
Yes!! Finally pictures of the male dwarf in creation. We just need the female dwarves now,
.
Looks good.
