EDIT: I derped and thought the elf girl was the first girl character they showed (the one that was actually human).
I'd drink HER bath water.

Only 4 hairstyles for Qunari? Is this old beta footage? Scaling up/down hair is one of the easier things to be done with hairmeshes. There's no excuse for only 4. XD
The horn options and the hair options are together, there are several horn options but their are only four different hairstyles. I have no idea why they did it that way.

I, personally, would definitely forgo some of the...stranger horn options(seriously, what was up with those one with the weird metals cases on them?) in favor of more hair options. Half of the hair choices are just bald with the different horns.
Am I the only one that felt the male Dwarf just looked off...? I mean I see room for great things there. But that guy looked like there was something wrong with him.
I liked some of the metal plated horns. I'm very happy with the horn selection overall, actually. But the hairstyles are almost comically lacking in comparison.

Oh, in that case, I agree.
Really? Because I thought that elf girl looked extremely strange, and not in a good elven way either. More like in a "moving these sliders too far" way.
Same I was kind of "uh..." when I saw the elf XD
I do love the broken horn options.
Wow, I wanted but wasn't expecting this. Nice!

Idk, I liked the metal cases and I like that we have so much verity. I still don't know why they needed to do it this way, several of the human hair options would have worked fine with all of the different styles of horns without any clipping issues and even more would work with just some minor changes.

Yeah, he looked high as ****.
sooo....wait.....you can't choose different colors for your hair/eyebrow/beard?
it's all the same color?

Yep.
For the most part it looks great and very detailed.
I just wish the hair was up to par vs the other stuff. It looks (as everyone feared) like it doesn't use physics of any kind and on top of this thee's little to no "long'ish" hair (especially if it goes beyond the shoulder area).
I wish the Qunari horns weren't part of the hairstyles, I would like to pick it separate, certain horsn I like more then others but the hairstyles I prefer come on different ones.
Still not a HUGE deal, just some nitpicks and things to get over.
I only hope for hte next DA game they finally tackle the issue of hair with these games, actually make use of physics and allow long hair choices.

I like the even-handed, respectfulness of this post in contrast to those flying off the handle because they can't make do with something that doesn't meet their exact hopes.

Looks that way. That's actually one of the more disappointing things for me tbh. Blonde-haired characters, for instance, I usually preferred to make the eyebrow/stubble colour black. Not everyone's facial hair is the same colour as their hair.
That dwarf looks pretty cool.
...this is making me think, though, is that actually the intro to the game? No peace-conference intro sequence or anything at all? :/
No, I think after you create your Inquisitor then the peace conference happens, that small intro is most likely what happened after. They wouldn't want to put a default Inquisitor at the peace conference since yours will most likely look and sound different.

It looked to me like the character creation smoothly segued into the scene in the Fade. That suggests that it is indeed the beginning of the game, and we won't get to play out the peace conference itself unless in a flashback.

So much speculation. We see the Inquisitor turn around! We have no idea what happened next. Everything at this point is just guessing.
If the game does actually start post-explosion in the Fade, I think it makes it more likely that the Inquisitor is actually a fade spirit who has taken the form and memories of one of the victims of the explosion.
So that would make us just like Cole? Then why don't we look all corpsey?

Cole took the form of a starving, dying young man in a dungeon. I reckon that's what the real Cole looked like by that point. Even if it wasn't, I'm sure spirits have differing abilities to do this. Something special is clearly going on with the Inquisitor no matter what they are, with the whole "mysterious glowing figure in the Fade" thing.

I suppose they could turn around, see the glowing figure, reach for it, then the scene could cut to "2 hours earlier" or something.
Yep.
