Cole took the form of a starving, dying young man in a dungeon. I reckon that's what the real Cole looked like by that point. Even if it wasn't, I'm sure spirits have differing abilities to do this. Something special is clearly going on with the Inquisitor no matter what they are, with the whole "mysterious glowing figure in the Fade" thing.

 

At the least, I'm open to the idea that we are like Wynne with a benevolent spirit that brought us back to life. If we are like Cole instead, that will make a lot of players in-game hypocrites based on what I've read in the forums.

   Absolutely amazing! I love it, I love it, I love it! My only gripe (as I've stated in the twitter thread) is the qunari hairstyles. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if the concept art hadn't showed the female qunari so many time with that awesome medium length hair. I was expecting us to have a very similar option in the game since it was in so many concept art pictures, and so planned for my qunari to look similar. I've never really played with an elf (beyond the origin) in DA:O and so I think I'll play as an elf instead.   

 

   The qunari look awesome otherwise, but I know I would eventually hate looking at either hairstyle during cutscenes and make a new character anyway. I just can't fathom why the horns and hair would be combined, or why their are numerous concept art showing hairstyles on the qunari that isn't even close to what it actually looks like.  Maybe Bioware didn't have the time to better implement qunari hairstyles? That the only logical thing I can think of when everything else is sooooo perfectly. But as they say; nothing can be perfect because there is ALWAYS that one thing that prevents perfection. Well, the qunari hairstyles and lack of earrings  

 

   Anyway, looking forward to getting my hands on DA:I, and while I hate to trade in my female qunari Inquisitor for an elf, I'm sure I'll have some fun playing an elf for the first time! Cannot WAIT!!

I REALLY hope we don't turn out to be some fade spirit or something like that.  Just let us be a guy or girl with a green glowing hand.  I don't want a Final Fantasy X ending where we save the world go to hug our romance and fade away back into the fade cuz we were never real to begin with!  That would be bad.

That couldn't happen! DLC!

 

I'm of the opinion that even if we were a Fade spirit, if we have the memories and the physical presence of a mortal, we are effectively that person. No fading back into the Fade required, Cole is proof of that.

I wish the Qunari horns weren't part of the hairstyles, I would like to pick it separate, certain horsn I like more then others but the hairstyles I prefer come on different ones.

 

 

I think they said that most of the hairstyes are available for each of the different style of horns.

I'm really pleasantly surprised by how many horn options the qunari get. As far as hair, I'd rather the artists be satisfied with the hairstyles they provide, rather than churning out lots of hairstyles they can't be proud of. Sure, clipping may not matter to many fans, but if it makes the artists unhappy, I think that's fair.

That would be very bizarre and unsatisfying.  I hope they don't go in that direction...

Just stunning CC.  Oh the many happy hours I will spend exploring the options!  My only wish is that some wavy/softly curled hairstyles be included.  I'm not a technical person so I don't know if straight hair may just be easier to render.  Also agree that it would be nice if we could make eyebrows a different shade than hair color, especially for gray haired Inquisitors.

so......just watched the new vid again. and the last female Inquisitor they show has white/silver hair, but her eyebrows are darker.

so perhaps it IS possible to have different color hair and eyebrows?

Seeing the human male Inquisitor (and how good-looking he can be) really made my day. I'll be spending quite some time in character creation!

 

Honestly, I tended to play female characters in the Dragon Age universe more (mostly for Alistair's romance arc in Origins, and I preferred Jo Wyatt's voice-over in II), but seeing some of the male human options in DA:I and knowing Dorian and Iron Bull will be available to me, I'm extremely excited!

Start > Human Male > Preset 1 > Confirm.

Because the initial breach at the peace summit is kinda what kicks the whole thing into motion. 

 

I don't think that whole event should just be left to our imagination.

I'm gonna have to call in sick release day at work. I just know I'm gonna take a few hours with the character creator. I won't be able to do anything but mess around with the faces..........yep. Can't wait.

Looks like you can create some very handsome/pretty inquisitors. The facial hair options look more limited than previous games, though, especially for a mustache.

Facial hairs was never DA's strong point in CC (if it ever had one ).
I think dwarves have different beards compared to humans though.
