I think they look beautiful. I don't mind the short hairs, imo it shows off her striking bone structure. The rest of the CC looks great.

The hair options are just horrible. The problem isn't that it's short but it has poor texture and no volume thus none of hair options even look good. 4 options also is just way too limited for nowday RPG.

I think the horns look fine myself. All the previous games had bad hairstyles too, so that was expected. Mods will fix those easy enough just like the last two games.

I don't love what I've seen of the female qunari so far, but I can't really put me finger on what it is that I don't like. The horn/hair situation isn't ideal, but it's more than that; maybe the overall proportions...enh, I don't know. Just something. I hope that once I can get in and fiddle I'll be able to make something I like the look of, but for now, they've been bumped to the bottom of my priority list.

In my opinion, horns are the primary feature of the "hairstyle" anyway, so the actual hair doesn't matter to me that much. And the hair textures in general are a massive improvement over the previous games. No more varnished wood!

Could it be the fact that they look a bit... human now?
I know there was practically zero variety in the DA2 qunari look, but it gave them a uniform look as a species - with heavy brows and small eyes. Inquisition is adding a lot more variables and thus tinkering with the qunari 'look'.
Not saying it's a good or a bad thing, btw. Though I did like the fact that they looked ever-so-slightly alien (by which I mean non-human). But when I do a qunari, I'll see if I can recreate the heavy-brow, small-eyed look of the DA2 ones.

First of all, best username/avatar combo.
Secondly, I think you're right, especially the eyes you mention, that's a big part of it. I loved the direction they took with the qunari in DA2, and it was owing a lot to the black, glassy eyes. They looked menacing and soulless and exactly like the kind of people I wouldn't want to mess with. The wide, bright eyes in the screenshots linked earlier just aren't doing it for me. I guess the real test of the CC for me will be if it can mitigate that.

You could try making the outer iris colour pitch black, and the inner colour purple or red. It might have a similar effect.

It's something to try, certainly. I'm not throwing them out entirely on the back of a small demo; they just aren't quite what I'd hoped to see. Time will tell!

I am quite pleased with this image. A qunari with undeniably black features. He looks great.
Whoops this thread is about femQunari. But still, he looks awesome so I'm keeping this here.
Where did you find this glorious male?
That's almost exactly how I want my first character to look.

Love this one. Apparently the horns are brittle enough that it makes good sense to wear the metal casings around them. I know people want more hairstyles but her smooth scalp is so sexy.

The qunari options look... Great. I'm deeply surprised. That female qunari appearance is diabolical as well as intimidating; that's honestly how it should be. None of that deviateArt, beautified nonsense.

The women look beautiful and imposing, I'm pretty excited. I was surprised initially at the 4 hair choices, but it's clear they focused on the horns, which are beautiful. I can live with it, and have already chosen the horn/hair combination for my first Inquisitor. Can't wait. ![]()

I thinks it's more if an accessory thing more than they're brittle. On the broken horns you can see that they're thick and solid.
The example they have was falling off a wagon and land on their heads. So that's a lot of weight/trauma to break those horns.

I too miss the DA2 eyes. Not that I really dislike the new qunari design, but an option to change the color of the sclera for example would've been nice.
My guess is Bioware wanted the qunari to seem less soulless and one-note, and more relatable. Maybe not in their beliefs, but as a species. "The eyes are the windows to the soul" or somesuch.

I was at first disappointed with the hair options (I was used to the long flowing white locks that we've seen previously), but they're not too bad and are growing on me (and one of them looks like the hair is pulled into a bun, which I can live with). The horn styles looked great and did have quite a bit of variety. And I expect some mods will be made for hair anyway if possible.

I didn't really have any interest in playing a qunari character before seeing the character creator, but they are so striking that I'm actually considering it now. I've always had a thing for what I like to call "Mad Max post-apocalyptic chic" though, so I like to roll badass looking females with scars, practical yet punk-ish hair styles, tattoos, etc. I love fearsome beauty. My femSheps were usually sporting the shaved head, so I'm actually excited to see the cornrows and mohawks. I can finally create the Tank Girl I always wanted to be! Ha! I understand the complaint and desire for longer styles though, and am sympathetic to those who are disappointed. I'm leaning toward believing (head-canon) that qunari women are proud of their horns and don't have as much vanity attached to their hair.

The horns and face are great, but hair kinda sucks. Will have to go w/ bald look which is pretty badass in itself.

My fear was that the female qunari would be too dainty - like elves, only with cute little horns. I'm glad that's not the case, personally.
The horns look great, and I love the different types you can get (even hornless). The hair doesn't bother me because all three (+bald) look good - I'm already eyeing up that mohawk - and the skin colours are completely different from any other race and make the qunari stand apart, whilst still offering variety within itself.
So, all in all, I'm really looking forward to my two (possibly three) planned qunari playthroughs!
Well, it's not like you have to personally date her, mateNot to come off as mean but the female qunari looks way to manish for my taste
