It's fanfic man he can run with it. You could just as easily write one where the Orlais never recovers from the civil war and navarra invades North Orlais seizing everything as far south as Val Chevin, While the dalish backed by ferelden seize the dales.

I love when people complain about Tevinter being decadent and enlsaving people. Then praise Orlais. Orlais does the same thing, just tries to cast it in a different light.

its the white chantry hating on the black chantry lol

Even if it did it really wouldn't effect my story much.

Fanfiction and all.

I've come to the awesome conclusion that a Human Mage is the best choice for the Inquisitor.

1) The Breach and dealing with the Fade requires a magical solution. Mages have more experience with magical threats that anyone.

2) The founding members of the Inquisition are Cullen, Leliana, Josephine and Cassandra. ALL Human. No mages. A mage evens things out.

3) Being human will makes things easier dealing with Orlesain nobles and the Chantry.

The last person/people to go into the Fade physically were the Ancient Tevinter Magisters adding a little more drama to the equation.

I personally think I will have more fun trolling the status quo as an elven inquisitor.

Yeah but then you can't antagonise everyone about being a former circle mage.

Decisions, decisions.

I'd be surprised if the Trevelyan family isn't somehow connected to the Amells.

ah yes that would make 2 badass hero Mages

and that walking disaster known as hawke.

In fact the fact that the peace summit blows up seems to indicate we meet hawke early.

I'm curious why there was a Tevinter symbol on the website when selecting to read the human background information.

Last time I checked Orlais actually contributed to ending blights though.

A lot can be forgiven for that simple assistance.

That only goes for the second blight. in the third blight they used for a quick landgrab. and in the 4th they where not really involved.

*He stands silently in a small hollow in the tunnel wall, watching tunnel ahead. His remaining men sit in a bunch at the back of the hollow. After couple of hours of silent waiting, he feels like someone is close. He raises his hand and casts a reveal spell. And there is Vartag standing in front of him. "You are good, my friend" he says. Vartag waves his hand, "I am certain that a large group is following us. They move rather swift. The odd thing is, I am not so sure if they are darkspawn". "so you think it could be someone else, wardens maybe?" he asks. "Possible but like I said can´t be sure" Vartag responded. "Who or what they are, they will be here in a few moments".

"All right then" he says, "we wait here, this is as good place as any to die if need to be". Gnaeus sighted, "At least I have had time to rest now". Gnaeus step on the side of his master. Three soldiers and Vartag place themselves behind them in a line. "No, not you" he says to Vartag, "you are the only one of us who has the ability to survive alone", "if these are darkspawn then you start running. Take my bag, take it to the Senate. My daughter will compensate you well even if you bring back only these items. She knows the deal I made with you. Wait there further in the tunnel to see how this goes". Vartag nods and disappears deeper in the tunnel.

* He stares into the tunnel and waits.*

And sees FE and his team.

I'm hoping it's because there's some ancient Tevinter connection to the Trevelyan family

Tevinter used a blight to that effect as did Nevarra.

So...how exactly is that different?

Point being though they didn't sit out the possible end of the world out of spite like elves.

A far more logical scenario. in fact this may happen. Also warden z forgets that several exalted marches where called upon  Tevinter and they managed to fight it to a standstill every time. its likely that Tevinter is militarily more powerful then Orlais.

The point that is being made that you consider orlais is better morally then tevinter because they assist in the blights. we will remind you that is BS and orlais is just as bad as tevinter.

* daughter runs to embrace ukki and scolds him for ruining her honeymoon*

Monkey saw the two it brought a lump to his throat " yo miss us? Fought a s*** storm of darkspawn trying to find you" the FE laughed trying to make sure ukki still had his sense of humour. "So can we leave now it smells like dung here"

The group started pack up and heal who ever was injured.. until monkey saw a curious stone that sang to him... he considered leaving it but instead ordered a merc to carry it incase it was raw lyrium. For now all he cared about was getting the hell out of the deep roads and back home

Three words.

Blood magic ritual.

Orlais may kill, conqueror and convert but they don't open veins of children for show.

I mean really it don't get more lulz evil then that.

So bs it is not.
