Well i prefered his original concept storyboards for Shippuden and never really liked the rewrites TV Tokyo "encouraged" Kishimoto to make to expand the series into the bloated train wreck it became.

 

Beyond that?

 

It was a cliched ending that basically was the classic cop out "Good Prevails even when it really honestly to god shouldn't"

 

The same system that caused all the bull**** in the first place? Still going strong!

 

The military industrial complex that ruined thousands of lives, created a terrorist organization and led to the resurrection of an ancient tree deity of destruction? A okay!

 

Honestly Kishi originally had plans for this dark and climatic struggle against the very values, traditions that ruled this feudalistic and militant world, instead?

 

We get a MC who not only embraces such a system, but actually gets elected to one of it's leaders when he spouted idealistic bull**** for years about trying to change it!

 

All in all?

 

It makes me wish Nagato ****Ing detonated his nuke...

Sort of did a drabble on my fanfic premise.

 

I was just sort of bored in between writing sessions for my Naruto story.

As the fireballs flew outwards towards their targets; the ships continued their advance.

 

And then the flaming masses of mana impacted; detonations rocked the very sea it self, geysers of water shot upwards as masses of flames consumed entire ships and their crews in an instant. bellowing clouds of steam shot upwards from the sea blanketing the entire coastal area in a thick and dense mist but even through it the carnage was evident. the entire wave of Antivan war galleys lay across the ocean waves burning.

 

Corpses of their crewmen hung suspended in the water; floating, their bodies coated in burns and gore from the intense detonation.

 

Nothing could have survived that onslaught of magical fury, nothing could withstand such fearsome arcane power.

 

"Is that all those southerns have to offer?" one of the non mage commanders questioned; his half helm drawn back, firelight crystallizing his features as he scanned the scene before him.

 

"Hardly an invasion at all; even if those were troop transports and were filled to the brim they couldn't have hoped to..." Naumarian was cut off as silhouettes became all to evident on the hazy horizon.

 

"Sweet Maker..." One of the soldiers murmured as he stepped back as if recoiling from the sight as if it was some delusion, some nightmare.

 

"steady yourself!" Naumarian commanded; his effortless authority born of decades of leading men for the Imperium, for the glory of the Archon and Senate against the Nevarrans, Qunari and more.

 

"Inform the coastal battlements to make ready; have our lines secured and send word to the capital..." The senior Magister and imperial war leader paused as he stared at the sight before him.

 

"Tell them we will not be able to hold them for more then a day or two at most, Four if the Maker wills it."

 

Even as he spoke the words and the messenger turned to flee and deliver his missive the Magister gazed once more beyond the proud and fearsome battlements of the Tevinter coastal fortress.

 

Beyond awaited the might of the south; beyond awaited their doom.

 

Thousands of sails visible upon horizon; adorning each and every one was the spiraling sunburst of the southern Chantry.

 

The fury of the south, the judgement their divine, their dogma had promised had finally arrived.

 

and brought with it the doom of the Imperium

fun fact tevinter is actually based off the Byzantinian roman empire not the classical variant. And the qunari can be considered to be the ottomans due to the similar relationship(idk if it will end the same)

Because all you need is magic. And to use magic more effectively it's best to wear something comfortable.
