According to the World of Thedas book, the arena is built like a triangular prism and the outside has gardens. Sounds to me like they still use it and keep it nice.

Well, hopefully we'll be able to take a look in DA4... I'd be more interested in seeing Tevinter than any of the remaining nations, and there is that thing with the Qunari looming in the distance.  That could easily be the next "crisis" that this series tackles.

Nevarra?  :/  Maybe the Anderfels, but Nevarra sounds boring... Also, I don't know what kind of plot would take place there.  The Anderfels is the seat of power for the Grey Wardens, and we still have no idea what mysterious business they were up to in DA2... if that isn't explained in DA:I, then you may be on the right track.  I'd still prefer Tevinter though.

Tevinter and Rivain are my 'must see' nations. I can take or leave everything else.

I thought Nevarra sounded interesting actually, what with their death cult. Anderfels could have the Wardens trying to grab the throne but I'd still prefer Tevinter over both.

Eh... I'm not too big on mummies tbh.  I'll pass on Nevarra...

Sweet Maker why?

Rivain is easily one of the most interesting nation for me too. Because it's way more culturally and ethnically diverse than any other one in Thedas.

Culturally diverse...is that akin to its culture seeming to be like Lemmings?

It's the crossroads between Chantry and Qunari culture. It'd be hell of a melting pot. Like the Ilberian Peninsula under Moorish occupation. It has a very East meets West vibe.

I would want to visit Llomerryn, it's an island in Rivain that's a haven for pirates.

Yeah Rivain has functioning Qunari society (outside of the Qunari homeland), a fascinating religion and an enlightened view of magic. After Tevinter would be my second place to visit.

an enlightened view of magic.

No.

Even Tevinter is more "enlightened" when it comes to magic.

As twisted and abominable as it is, it still recognizes it as dangerous and it doesn't have a culture that encourages possession.

What?

It seems to do whatever is just well...todumbtoliveTM.

Converting to the Qun, Allowing Possession, its mages just well...leaving the circle.

It's a culture of lemmings.

I'm going to have to agree with that part... I don't approve of the Rivaini seers or their culture's view of abominations as "natural disasters."  It seems incredibly irresponsible...

Not every mage who's possessed is dangerous and clearly it works for Rivain (unless they have abominations running down the street everyday).

Honestly it should just sink into the sea at the conclusion of my business there.

This has already been proven factually incorrect.

It's my understanding that they bond with spirits rather than demons, but still... the fact that they take no steps to prevent demons from possessing mages is a bit much considering the damage they can cause.

Really? I thought Wynne was pretty nice even when Rhys got captured she didn't go full scale abomination.

It's a cultural thing, I'm not going to judge them for it if the people accept it. Besides perhaps their mages are just more perceptive at differentiating demons from spirits, like Solas perhaps.
