What better way to come to the Imperium then as a Crusader?

.-.

That said i will require citations on that point because i never heard anything definite about them being done with the south, i heard a bit about them wanting to do something with Rivain, but that said if they make this nothing, its nothing, but until then?

The Imperium is fighting a war against supposedly the most tactically brilliant martial nation in Thedas.

While BioWare has already stated that Inquisition is by no means concluding the Dragon Age series, the game "puts a few nails in quite a few coffins" and "introduces some new twists." For Laidlaw, the introduction of a multiplayer mode into the game is something he would like to continue exploring.

"I'm not sure if it's a perfect story situation, but it might be. I think it's something that's worth at least an investigation, especially based on reactions to the mode itself. I would say we've covered most of the South, I think we've covered the Chantry enough. But I do want to look more toward the North, I want to see what happens to nations like Tevinter, Rivaine, and do more with the Qunari. We're going to go with the same process we did with Inquisition, which was where we have a core story idea that starts to form and drive where we're heading next... the darkspawn, they're still nowhere resolved, there's still multiple arch-demons underground waiting to be woken up by them, there's still demons on the far side of the Veil. Nobody really knows what happened to the Elves. The Tevinter Imperium is still locked in a war with the Qunari. There's so much we could do."

I suppose the Tevinter Imperium is just fascinating to me. I'm interested in the workings of ancient Constantinople, its walls, its culture, the many luxury goods that passed through her gates, the exotic decadence of the Imperial Court and the ever-encroaching danger of the barbarians outside. Minrathous is an analogue for that city, and I always appreciate impressive architecture. What mindset goes into creating such wonders on our earth?

Didn't Bioware say we can "lead the world to its bitter end" in Inquisition? I took this to mean we could help bring about the souths end helping Corypheus succeed and Tevinter rise again. What happened? Guess not =(

Quick Question. Do people in Tevinter find Homosexuality distasteful? If so, what's it like to have one in Tevinter? An what are the possible consequences if anyone brought it to light?

They do, they somewhat tolerate it but it's really discouraged. Dorian's father even tried reprogramming his brain with blood magic just to make his attraction go away.

It seems Inquisition was not our time but if DA4 is set on Tevinter then it will definitely be our time Augustei.

from what dorian says its distastful and hurts potential bloodlines. Ironically its fine(ish) if you sleep with a favored slave of the same sex

The general rule in thedas on homosexuality is its not important when its discreet though again tevinter finds it distastful in x situations. And only tge lower classes do it without any real offense.

As a sidenote transgendered people are also tolerated to x extent(maeveris talvini from the comics is a mage recognized by the senate despite her status)

Sexuality and Gender be confusing yo! lol. Anyone like necromancer? So far, I'm leaning towards Knight enchanter. I have no interests in rift mage anymore. I kinda feel like the skills & spells were scrapped together from previous games an nothing is new here. Necromancer is entropy + spirit, Rift Mage is primal (earth tree in primal) + force mage, and Knight Enchanter is Arcane Warrior with a lightsaber an cool spirit threads.

im having a ball as a rift seems legit to apply pure fade energy to my foes. The others are nice if too op for my style gameplay

Excellent, Soon we shall bring the barbarians back into the fold and when they resist...for they always resist, we will crush them so utterly they will not consider rebelling for a few centuries at least.

I have several other hints or speculation from the game as to why we would go to Tevinter, the big one has nothing to do with Tevinter culture or society. In Tevinter lies the great forest of Arlathan, the home of the ancient elves. The whole thing with solas and the elves in Inquistion leads me to believe that we shall be learning much more about them, and since arlathan is in Tevinter that means we would go there.

So just yet another reason IMO why we would go there.

I'm just awaiting the fury of the south to be unleashed to be completely honest.

It was sort of hinted at in some post game dialogue.

If the inquisition would support a March on Tevinter.

Given their troubles with the Qunari and now Nevarra? It seems about the time to strike.

The cartoon from grand theft auto?

Now that you mention it, it is a rather apt comparison in many aspects.

It doesn't seem apt to me personally.

Thedas has the power to invade.

Their wrath isn't impotent.

Thedas has the power to invade.

Probably not. North or south.

Their wrath isn't impotent.

Impotent rage is pretty much the reason why an Exalted March would be on the table so soon after the crisis.

Probably not.

Orlais is intact, Nevarra is already at war with them.

Both major military power are active.

To me?

It seems that the nations that would make up the bulk of forces are quite able.

Orlais is intact,

Being intact and being able to wage total war (let alone look at long-term occupation) are very far apart.

Nevarra is already at war with them.

The op I executed to prevent just that says otherwise, unless war between the two is a forgone conclusion in the epilogue.

Sort of.

The border actions don't stop.

It's hinted that it will ultimately lead to outright war.

This breach crisis brought a lot of old hate to a boil against Tevinter.

Not really.

Two armies engaging each other in the field fits the criteria for war.

You splitting hairs doesn't change the matter is that the border lands are being torn apart.

Sorry if it isn't an outright invasion or what have you but it is a state of hostilities.

To attack the Imperium who is the only one holding qunari back would be a extremely poor politics from southern nations. It would simply make everyone vulnerable for qunari invasion. Utterly stupid.

Hardly.

Tevinter holds back nothing.

Honestly how many people have to say that before people believe it?

They make holding an island a pain for the Qunari that isn't doing much to overly affect capacity to make war.

Hostilities and auld hate. There's nothing in Thedas to be found in greater abundance.

They can froth at the mouth and stomp their feet all they want, but the best they're ever going to get is a rerun of the failed Exalted Marches of old. Well, except this time you'll have the Qunari just across the pond to the north, grinning and rubbing their hands together.
