Welp, it's his fic. Can't get all those pesky people you want dead..
Of course not. I wouldn't dream of trying to meddle in his writing.
I'm wishing death on Lambert, not Z's story about him.

If it makes you feel any better, he has no interest in a rebellion fifty years crushed.
He now only lives to see his homeland burn.

And after that stimulating discussion, I adjourn.
Good evening my Lords and Ladies of Tevinter.
Because balance. Everything that should rightfully be OP by the lore gets nerfed for class balance.
That is just such a bull crap (I mean the balancing), mages are and should be the super heavy artillery. Such force on the battlefield that foot soldiers crap their pants when they see mage enter the battlefield. It fits the lore too. In the game everyone keep yapping about mage being able destroy a village at will but DA mages are actually barely able to light a playhouse on fire with current downgrading.
I loved BG high level mages and liches. When you came across one there was a momentarily "gawd dam!" to respond their magical power. Sometimes everyone ended up dead despite fighting hard.
it wasnt gawd dam... it was a slew of profanity. I miss BGThat is just such a bull crap (I mean the balancing), mages are and should be the super heavy artillery. They could always just make mages unplayable as a class in future games, if you are so intend on portraying mages rightfully.
this is why i hate gameplay/segregation it hurts everyoneTo be fair, the Templars got nerfed too.
Time was they could pulse the lyrium in their blood and cancel out spellcasting apparently they forgot how to do this.
Mages cease to be a threat when what makes them dangerous is removed.

That you cannot pick mage as your class.
That you cannot pick mage as your class.
Next game will probably be in Tevinter!
i know just being witty hahaThat you cannot pick mage as your class.

Even more reason then. Then tehy could truly show us magic, in all its spectacular danger.
Or they could just balance the mage class, and people could rub their braincells together and realize that gameplay/story segregation is in effect.
but rubbing brain cells takes a lot of work and some might like the "rebound" effects. I still dont see why the lyrium addiction mechcanic got axed. Id so be down to play it stillEven more reason then. Then tehy could truly show us magic, in all its spectacular danger.

Mages should be insanely powerful though, Frail as all hell but powerful.

And they are. Not in the game though, since it has to be FUN.
what mages not powerful rift mages in knight enchanters are both powerful classes for a mage.
Don't mind me, lemme just marvel at the glory of a 175 pages long thread dedicated to Tevinter for a moment.
Next game will probably be in Tevinter!
That would be amazing.
marvelous innit XDDon't mind me, lemme just marvel at the glory of a 175 pages long thread dedicated to Tevinter for a moment.

And that would kill the franchise. Mages are by far the most fun class to play with. "Balancing" is just a poor way to try to make every class equal. IF you play a fantasy game where mages are supposed to be powerhouses then you should accept that there is no such thing as balancing in the gameplay either. You just have to find another way.

You will have to excuse me if I don't appoint you the mouthpiece of all DA players. I HATE playing as mages for instance. I find the entire playstyle weary and boring beyond belief. I personally prefer to playstyle of the warrior.
Of course, mage fanboys will always want their pets to be the master class, but luckily BioWare aren't complete tools, and know that at the end of the day they are creating a game, whcih at its core is supposed to be fun, and not some random dudes powerfantasy fulfillment.
Well who wouldn´t want a powertrip in a fantasy game? ![]()

we are not saying master race just the origin status of effectiveness we in this thread believe has been lacking for "balance" we arent the majority(hell the bsn arent the majority). You will have to excuse me if I don't appoint you the mouthpiece of all DA players.
