fun fact: the grand clerics and the imperial divine are all members of the Magisterium and mages.
World of thedas states that the majority of the imperium are members of the Imperial Chantry.

I hope we meet the Black Divine in the next game, I keep picturing Darth Sidious when I think of him ![]()
The first person known to wield blood magic was Archon Thalsian, He claimed to learn the art after personally communicating with the old god Dumat. Personally though I think it's far more likely that he stole it from the elves.
Indeed. And when was this again? Oh yeah, thousand of years ago, back in a time when associating with the Old Gods was still acceptable.

Like I said. It's far more likely that Blood magic was learned from the ancient elves.
Sahlertz still lingers in these halls, offended by the golden god Dumat and his divine grace. His notions of what he considers acceptable practice Dumat finds most comical. Why come you here profligate? To tell us what exactly? I hear Silence.
((Honestly I do not understand why the worship of old gods would bother you so. Just so you know, it is how I RP my character and ISNT going to change. SO you should be prepared to continue being frustrated))

I think it would be fine to rp a follower of dumat, as long as you kept in mind that in modern Tevinter that his worship wouldn't be something that would be openly done. Though if you are going to rp an open follower of dumat, I can try and react to that as aurelia would ![]()
Associated. Past tense. World of a difference.
There is no premise to think that it has changed. I agree with Pierce Miller about the ancient elves, but it does not change anything in the perception of Tevinter who associate it with Old God
@nextarishok the next peice is written IC
You preach the veritures of the qun and what ideas are those? nothing for there is nothing good with the Qun. it's sole purpose is to take what you are and remove everything that makes you well you. you seek to remove individuality and what makes humans, elves and dwarves themselves so that we all are mindless slaves in a machine.
I like being myself, I like being different from my sister and she likes being her own woman. The Maker gave us free will, yet you would go against him and our own nature by removing that from us. I have no desire for that, nor does any thinking being. Then of course is your blasphemous disregard for the worship of the Maker. to think that he is not real is a stupid notion, you bind, stitch and chain the people whom the maker has blessed with his gift of magic.
there is a reason why you have failed in your conquests and will continue to fail. If you try again, you will not conquer. Your false ideals will be destroyed and you along with it. The armies of the Imperium will not falter and will see you and your kind destroyed.
Na Tevinter lerno victoria

What is this filth!? The purpose of the Qun is to remove what makes you..."you"!? Who would even say this filth.
Your view of the Qun is so warped and twisted its no wonder I am met with nothing but hard-headedness and resistance here! The Qun takes what you are and makes you the best you can possibly be. Most people should be so lucky. Respected and appreciated no matter what your craft is. The Qun is something beyond what your selfish and feeble minds can grasp. The chance to BECOME something, some that lives, something that breathes, something that makes you into so much more than just "a mage" or "a rogue" something far better than "Alexius" or "Arti" can EVER be on their own. Something that will never die and you will live on FOREVER through!
If the maker is real, then he would be impressed with the Qunari. The drive, the strength, efficiency, acceptance, loyalty! Let him come down and submit to the Qun as well. The way we treat mages is needed. He would appreciate us recognizing the need.
There is more to life than "YOU" and none of you get it. I, I, I, me, me, me, its sickening. Worthless and selfish bas will never learn. Could you not see it in Kirkwall? Is really all you want out of life? Greed and base animal instincts? You WILL see, you WILL learn.
The Qunari have not failed. You have. You just haven't been defeated......yet. Keep talking though as spies infiltrate everything you know and do. Keep talking while the dreadnaughts are built. Keep talking while the gaatlok gets piled high. Keep talking because your arrogance has no end. Animals need to be broken before they can be fixed. Luckily the "horned ones" exist and these "ox men" are the ones for the job. The ones that there is no chance of defeating.

Razikale...I take it back. You do have style, horned one. So that's one Qunari, at least. The other one's...dead, obviously.
It will avail you nothing of course. What do we care what the Maker would think of the Qun? Hurl all the shame you like. A thinking individual will not feel it.
I agree, however, that a person might become too attached to their own sense of individuality. Too selfish. But some of us here already have a purpose of our own...We have Tevinter.

Except that WoT says so.

You can do whatever you want to. It is not like I can stop you. But we ARE in the story forum here, which means that we should pertain to the story of the game. So if you like to play your character that way, be my guest, just understand that in the story forum, we try to maintain the intergrity of the actual story.
If you want to be free of that, then go to the RP forum section of BSN and establish a setup that allows for EXACTLY what you want.
It is really that easy.
Except that WoT says so.
What does it say, please quote if you can.
Venatori time!
These are Mister Matt Rhode's concepts? Superb.

Quite a lot on the imperial chantry. It might take some time but I can quote what wot says
But does it contradict what I have said about blood magick being tied to the Old Gods and perceived as such in Tevinter Imperium?
So, I bartend some weekend evenings, and I think after some experimentation I've come up with a Tevinter cocktail. It's very like something that already exists, called "The Last Word" with a notable adjustment.
Equal parts:
- Gin (or Vodka, if you're one of those oddballs who can't stand Gin)
- Green Chartreuse (It must be green, not yellow)
- Absinthe (this is where the adjustments begin to show. It doesn't matter if it's "real" Absinthe or not, color and flavor are what's important)
- Some freshly pressed lime juice
In a shaker, with ice, then through a cocktail strainer (sieve). The ready cocktail should be served straight up, but feel free to add a slice of lime if it appeals.
It's pungent, a little sour and a little sweet. The absinthe adds a decadent quality. Perfect, I think.
...I'd try to think of something for our Qunari denizens here, but since Qunari society is so absolutely dedicated to being boring...

Isn't more or less Tevinter Imperium theme black-gold? Come up with something like this:

Well, I'm not going to make a black/gold cocktail.
Gross.
This turns up the same shade of green as the heraldry backdrop/field. I thought it worked.

Neither would I. Probably a mix of advocate with chocolate. Liqueur, the final sin.

Well they say fake gold turns the skin green. So I think that's perfect for Tevinter, subconsciously that was your line of thinking. I knew you had a beautiful mind that should never be touched by qamek. If you listen to your heart you want to turn your back on Tevinter. I could show you just how amazing and great Qunari can be. Definitely not "boring" You just have to stop being a heretic.
I wanted to request you bring me 2 of the nice Tevinter weapons rob had posted on the first page of the thread that I liked, but it seems bioware has seen fit to delete the post.......
The armor on their peons is very nice. Some good weapons too. Its a shame some of the pictures have been deleted.
