if we must have a blight story, then let it be a story of horror. We should feel at every moment. "the world is ending we are doomed" it should feel doom and gloom. It should feel like what we are doing is flat out IMPOSSIBLE.  But at the same time you encounter the destroyed town or fortfied places made out of human flesh. You see the destruction of the blight and despite how much of victory seems impossible, giving up should feel worse. Despair should be everywhere. People, companions, freinds and lovers should be seen to die. we should feel like that we are doomed, and then overcome it through dying. no dark ritual. A grey warden this time must die, either you or another warden. 

 

I really don't want to play another overemotional wreck of a character, and certainly not a character that would die to end the blight. Can I for once fight for myself and my survival?

I'm assuming if they have Qunari available in this game, their story would be similar to the Elven Non-Mage one? 

 

Not really. IIRC Qunari aren't kept that much as slaves due to the hatred/war between the imperium and the qun. But it is possible. I am just not sure of an origin for the qunari yet. so any ideas.

But the point I was making was that from what I read on the blights in world of thedas and the lore is that they are these horrorific events of doom, despair and destruction. Yet that wasn't much present in origin at least compared to what it could have been. 

 

most sadist pyschos would probaly want to end the blight so they can you know continue living in the world and continue being sadists.  That said, I doubt they are going to be revisiting the blight as a plot soon due to it being similar to origins.

I think there should be an option to not become a grey warden and just drag a grey warden to end the blight. Imo there is really no difference between dying to the blight and dying to stop the blight, you are still dead. 

 

Also I understand doom and gloom, but all I was saying was, it should also be possible to roleplay a more chill protagonist, one that is not overemotional about destruction and chaos.

The Anderfels have been hit far more severely than Tevinter ever has. Tevinter has actually never really suffered a Blight, it has always hit the surrounding countries (Two in Anderfels, one in Antiva, one in Orlais/Free Marches, one in Ferelden IIRC). The Grey Wardens, outside of Blights, are usually regarded as archaic and obsolete, this is probably also true in Tevinter.

Either way, the Wardens did not have knowledge of Avernus' research before, not even those in Tevinter.

look at the company you keep.  I don't see you in the Qunari thread thus you are a slaver!

 

listening to a lot of these people no matter what happens tevinter will "prevail"  I say put em to the test.  Qunari test last because that would be so one sided there would be nothing left of them and we need entertainment.

i hang out with rpers lol and with that logic i should be republican cause most of my friends are but im actually apolitical but have leftist beliefs lol and seeiously where the duece is that thread its been MIA for months. I enjoyed the people there

It's dead.  Too many bas and not enough people to keep it alive.  That's ok though.  I could be on the only Qunari fan left on the forums and I will still hold it down.  No probs being a one man army.

 

Yes it would and I hope to see it in the future.  Awesome looking armaments.  They're like the lambos of Thedas lol.  Crazy/sexy, balls to the wall, and powerful.  Just fall short of the top spot

I get the feeling that a tevinter vs qun plot would be a rather grey vs grey sort of story. Which makes it more interesting IMO.

It would be... but it'd also be entirely possible to fight the qunari without having any allegiance to Tevinter, while the reverse isn't really true. So I think that we should automatically be opposed to the Qun.

not really sure.  It is pretty "restrictive" and I don't know if i'm built to do that for a long period of time, I would probably have to say no because of that...at the same time I can't see any other group I would want to be a part of.  So if im not a lone wolf then thats probably where I would call home.

i admire the qun because its fair and everyone has a purpose but im a free spirit so it conflict
