I honestly think they're just done babysitting.  This place was bad....like bad.  It almost felt like elementary school.  It seems they have decided to let us have some breathing room as we aren't children.  When I came back and started posting right at release time trying to get some questions answered it felt a little "different"  I welcome the change.  I don't need someone lording over me.  I see the line get crossed very few times.  We don't need babied imo.

Woo. Another Laetarn. My rp character is a laetarn Aurelia Knight-Commander of the Magisterium's forces,  a knight-enchanter/arcane warrior.

I guess elven magisters a very rare? Didn't Dorian say he never spoke to a non slave elf before?

Which makes me wonder just how truthful Danarius was in regards to Fenris sister deal? Did he really mean it? Or was he simply using her?

tevinters a meritcracy pf sorts, he wasnt lying...nor was he being truthfull even if a elf was admitted into the circle they are faced with racism and other social blocks. Its possible but idk how common they are... knowing bioware they are going to railroad this to the extreme

first you must understand what a Magister is. It is not a magical title, it is someone who serves in the Magisterium, think the Roman Senete. Just as serving in the Senete makes you a Senetor. Serving in the Magisterium makes you a Magister.

 

There have been non-mage magisters before, and during the conversion days, this was far more common. But the modern tevinter all mages are members of the magisterium, well all but 1 dude. 

 

So it technically is possible for an elf to become a magister, just unlikely due to the history of tension between humans and elves.

I am rivaini by birth, a well rounded mage and spirit medium specializing in blood magic and various arcane rituals. Became the FE a few months ago due to wit and skill. I used to be angry and demand retribution from templars but now im more calm and hedonistic due to disillusionment im also possesed by spirit of retribution, though now becoming one of mercy
