I have a question for the scum.

 

If you and your fellow mages are so amazing and so powerful, if you're the top of the food chain in the mage world....then tell me....specifically.  What are some spells that should be showcased in the next dragon age that are functional and have "vint" flavor to them.

 

In other words, if vints are so much better what kind of spell upgrades or spell types should a game set in Tevinter have to really show this.

 

Well, Blood Magic without question, and probably other forms of spirit magic. Tevinter apparently has its own Arcane Warriors so it would be interesting to see their take on the "melee mage" kit.

I would disagree.  For something to be that effective and that efficient then there is no way it could be grounded in chaos.  Maybe we will see sometime soon...although any type of "plot armor" make claims like this an issue.

I'll tell ya girl.  I agree with the phrase "keep your enemies close"  but you are like the epitome of that.  I'm sure you have this great story made up, but I don't even want to know what my true fate would really be if I left the Qun.  Luckily for me the Vints have NO chance against the Qunari.

I believe the Archon would make some kind of exception for you. You already have his attention after all. He might be pleased enough that you've had a change of heart to do so.

Doesn't count for spies.  That is their job.  They do not lie to the Qunari.  In fact, they help us and make us better when situations arise that make us lose our focus.  A very important part of the Qun.

 

I'm sure in the Archon's wisdom he knows our conflict will only be done when he lays dead at my feet as he refuses to see reason and submit.  As such, given the chance he would torture and kill me.  I can respect that though.  I also think it would be interesting to battle and crack heads with TS, but its just not meant to be.  They have proven to me just as you have.  You refuse to see reason.

Well, of course its the purpose: Manual labor, in the form of an obedient creature who will assuredly never question or rebel. Terms like "last resort", "strengthening the Qun" are just different ways of articulating it, to avoid the cognitive dissonance, I would assume.

Yeah but that was before you chose Kain over me.  Like I couldn't take him? pfffff.  Don't you know who I am?

 

I usually don't play SP for quite some time in games as I'm not the biggest fan of it generally with only few exceptions.  All of my gaming time was put into the MP. At this point though a few terrible decisions have really made hate it and I have actually started playing playing the SP.

 

I made a 2handed Qunari (that was going to be a reaver like I have been in every game thus far) I played enough to get to skyhold and decided that it is just really boring in this game and I hate playing warrior.

 

Then after playing MP and loving the casters, for the first time ever I made a mage (qunari)....that lasted about....2 hours lol.  Sucks meteor shower is one of those focus skills.

 

I have now made a rogue (qunari) and im tearing through it.  I don't know the proper way to explain how far I am.  I am on the "hearts and minds" quest i think? But I am doing the side quests and companion request.  I put it on Cassandra...shes not as hot as in DA2, but she seemed like she needed some stress relief and to mellow out I am an assassin.  That thousand cuts OMG!  I am missing some of the MP passives though.

Getting the Assassin profession is insanely easy.  The first thing I did after getting the quest was Crestwood by chance.  You kill groups of enemies to get blade pieces (3 in total) and then you need 20 deathroots

 

Protip: After you complete Crestwood a merchant apprears in the town and sells Deathroot for 40gold a pop....and then you need a book that is at Skyhold.  Done.

 

Haven't been to Western Approach yet I don't think.

 

I am happy to see you play qunari.  sadly it has to be tal-vashoth, but its better than nothing. Got a few points in my book.

 

Oh and also the Dragon at Crestwood looks awesome!  Some artist did a kick ass job on that one.

I wish I had the talent to draw like some of the people doing fan art (and our Lady Artifice, of course). I would love to see my Magister character with his Ta-vashoth woman drawn. That guy who did the one for RobRam10 does excellent ones but is a bit costly (for me. To be honest I could afford it but my wife would tear a new one for me, for spending money on drawings).

Perhaps somewhat. But the Qun already has enough power over people. I won't waste all the fire in my soul on it.

That is so frustrating...Quillbacks are common enough, but the Alphas spawn only rarely and then the don't always drop the spikes I needed. I'm green with envy. Ah well. At least I'll know exactly what to do when the time for my assassin play through comes around. 

 

So you've already reached the Winter Palace then? I've only been there as Trevelyan. I'm sure it's pretty different for Adaar. Do you remember how they introduced you at the ball?
