I have theories.

It does...but does that mean every world state you have has each hero being of a different class? When DA4 comes along you'll obviously have a duplicate. How will you balance that when the time comes?
In my default world state, every one of them is a self insert...which means female rogue. Otherwise, it's all about thematic flow. The two with the warden making the ultimate sacrifice have a theme of self-sacrifice, but it has hugely different implications for me if the sacrifice is made to keep Alistair alive than it does if it's to keep Loghain alive. One world state has the theme of pragmatism, one of them the theme of ultra pro-mage liberation...that kind of thing.
When I do very different heroes from one game to the next, I need a way to keep the flow "balanced" in my own head. If the Warden was a female elf rogue, while Hawke was a male human warrior, then the Inquisitor should be a human female rogue so that she has surfacy things in common with both of the previous two heroes.
I completely get you being a little picky about how it each hero connects to the others, is what I'm getting at.
Ah it's good to see I'm not the only one that feels like this
If your main playthrough is a rogue I have to ask, how fun are they? Thinking of making one as a side playthrough for fun.

Well, I think they're massive amounts of fun...but I'm also super biased. I've been excited about the addition of the artificer specialization since I heard about it, but I don't think it's a particularly high powered specialization now that I'm playing with it.
I do like it when enemies start screaming "watch out for traps" on the field, though.
Rogues deal really high damage, of course. Stealth seems significantly more useful to me this game than it did in previous DA games...I was able to stealth past the Ferelden Frostback in the hinterlands at a low level and get a ton of loot without having to fight a thing, which is good because I would have been soooo dead. I don't think I could have snuck all that way if I'd been controlling a rogue other than the player character, because of how hold position seems to not work at all for me. My specialization was really tedious to claim, though, because of how hard to hunt down the things I needed to kill were.
I have recently been informed assassin is less difficult. No idea about Tempest. May I ask which specialization your warrior has?

Why have you turned?
why ask that which you cannot comprehend?
Red has become a full actualised person thinking for himself making his own decisions having thoughts of his own.
One day if you are lucky you will glimpse a modicum of what red has become. he is beyond your reach now.

True it will be the south.

Tevinter will never fall. Tevinter is the pillar on which the whole world gazes but never touches.
Through Blights,
Wars,
Droughts
and flooding rains
Tevinter prevails.
Tevinter, remains.

Well to be honest it could have been bigger if the Qunari even remotely look good DA:I such a failed implementation I was really hoping to make a Qunari look like the one in middle of Tallis and Iron Bull and the one on the far right.
I never could speak much to this as I hadn't played much....im probably still not "far" but wow. The more I play/learn the more its just like......uh what....
I hope the Kossith are in the next game.

thanxDepends on what you're looking for. Nuker or Tank Mage. They both have pros and cons. I'd go with Ice Knight for Nightmare or at least until you get the hang of Nightmare.

Ice knight sucks just take Fade Step and invest in the Inferno tree.
Well, yeah. But dat Ice Armor. I don't know how nightmare-ready monkey is. Getting two-shotted by a flanking archer can get a little overwhelming the first time. Ice Knight let's him figure out what he wants to do without dying all the time. Then he could respec.
Why is lightning not in this discussion? Is lightning not even worth bothering with?
Well, sheesh.
Meh. It's more of a CC school IMO. Good with crowds and the Rift Mage spec.

I haven't played it really other that testing out some Dorian's spells. I would say ice just for thematic purposes. But from a gameplay perspective I'd be lying if I told you something was optimal. I spec Dorian as storm if it helps. Hardly use him because I'm too busy using my lightsaber spirit blade while immolating bitches.

I made my warrior a champion
I didn't want to be a reaver for rp reasons and because they are stuck spamming 2 abilities. I also didn't want to be a templar because they are only strong against demons and do not offer much else haha. I chose champion because I play on nightmare so the ability to survive is everything and as a champion I can switch between S&S and 2h without much difficulty. Some people say champion may be boring but I find it more boring to keep dying instead of being able to run around and fight all the time. ![]()
edit: and yeah the hold position function is pretty annoying haha

Nah, cerberus was a lot more silly, because clearly humanity is not the strongest and most biologically advanced species in ME, as opposed to mages in DA.
