*The top chamber of the tower is dark and silent. A dark hooded character sits besides the elaborately crafted bed where Nazlik lies beneath a shimmering force field. He touches the force field gently with his fingertips. His touch sends small ripples across the field causing it to gleam in the dark room.
"I know now who did this" he whispers, "too late, like always". She looks peaceful as she lays there, under the magical field. He had arranged her hair with a kiss before closing the field as much as he could, a tiny effort to do anything. No servants or slaves were allowed in the room, he couldn´t bear the thought of anyone touching her as he carried her here. She still has her training gear on, he did not dare to change them.
"I will go soon my love, to face the one who did this" he says looking at her through the force field. "You would appreciate the irony of this situation. That is what I love about you, among other thing". He looks over the bed through the glass door of the balcony where Minrathous glimmers in the dark. "I sometimes wonder why people I love end up dying around me. I was worried about us but I thought that maybe this once I was entitled to happiness. I have done my duty as a Magister, for my house and for the Imperium". He looks at the old portraits on the wall, especially his fathers, "that bastard would appreciate what I have done. Just the way he wanted. He would have hated you though".
He stands up and slides his hand across the force field. "Maybe I should just let that demon take me over. What a better way to end my fathers legacy than let the demon puppeteer me through the streets of Minrathous wrecking havoc. That surely would be the end my house" he says with a bitter laugh.
"No, I will cling to a hope that I can look into your eyes, once more. What ever happens I will always love you" he whispers to her. Then, forcing himself to turn away he grabs his staff leaning on the wall and silently walks out of the chamber closing the door gently behind him.*

Oh please. Like you're any better than a mage. You know what you can do with your lyrium.

Reject Magic and reinforce reality.
It's the opposite of being a mage.

Theres one thing that always confused

Nah, it was said by a barbarian hedge mage. In the Imperium we know what the rule is, there is no need to interpret it any way. ![]()

Thats one thing you have to give them credit for. Yeah they might "play it down" or something like that, but you know what they stand for.

The fear is primal, suffocating. Magic. Bad magic. Why. Where is master. Issuing commands is child's play, but the fear makes it hard to latch on to anything else. I think I can see a horned woman but it's too blurry... I cannot make it whole.
Follow, guard, smash, run, master. It finds comfort in routine, clear purpose. Whatever is left of the Qun in this creature, it has spent years burying it. While new insights are always appreciated, I'll need a subject who is still devoted to the Qun; our aim is to replace it, not repress it. This beast has already been broken.
Take the Qunari back to Florentius, along with my gratitude for his contribution to our endeavor.

Ha...you trying to start another fire in this thread. Bioware might have punched me in the gut, but i'm still standing and I still know vints have no room to talk about anything aside from being a slave, having slaves or retreating and hiding.

I appreciate the image of a Qunari coming across the research notes and then mumbling this to himself.

Im more exicted for the remake of the original
There will need to be an antagonist in the future.
Someone behind the scenes.
Might as well be a Wesker.
