I'd honestly be impressed truth be told if it wasn't the case.
There can be only one case.

No it isn't.
It's lyrium.
Enhanced and wondrous.
The powers it bestows are literally magic. Neither Lyrium or red Lyrium are "anti-magic".

Also lyrium helps mages connect to the fade, like in Harrowing.

It hasn't ever been said Lyrium mimics magic.
My opinion on the subject is that magic is the only thing comparable to lyrium based ability.
Thus people misconstrue it as magic.
It doesn't need to be said. Lyrium and red Lyrium are substances magical in nature. Red Lyrium imbues magical powers.
This is not something that can be misconstrued or debated.
I hope it's just a Lyrium ore and not something crazy ,

We don't know for sure
Lyrium is the essence of magic. It exists in the fade as well as Thedas and the only explanation is it was a shared mineral when the veil didn't exist. Lyrium is FROM the fade therefore by its very nature, magic.

Uh-huh.
Get back to me with more then "it's magic because I say it's properties are magic" and your argument may have more weight.
The arrogance of Orlais, typical.
Lyrium comes from the fade, taint comes from the fade, magic comes from the fade, everything comes from the fade, everything is magic.

I don't say it's properties are magic... it's properties are magic, as it has been comprehensively demonstrated time and time agian.
Unless you have a scientific explanation for this phenomena, there is really nothing to suggest otherwise beyond a burning desire to project your own fanon.

If the Taint is magic I will be very disappointed, my view of taint is that it is metaphorical , it's just corruption.

I say it came from the fade, from the black city.
