Entry thirty seven dated 9:27 Dragon 

 

I have trained with Orlesian Chevaliers, Free Army Mercenaries of the Free Marches and Nevarran Knights; In that experience did I become accustomed to the familiarity of combat, of styles that translated borders, of shared and collected experience.

 

In that experience i faced and in some cases killed many opponents of varied teachings, politics and even faith, I combated Dwarven Berserkers and even later what i was told was something called a Reaver outside of Ostwick. Some of these opponents left me battered, bruised and scarred, some of these barely tested my ability...but within all of these men, women and elves...i found something similar.

 

The desire for conflict, the various politics and backgrounds of these conflicts are irrelevant, the Maker's truth is evident for those willing to see it.

 

Politics divide Thedas, Politics divide men, with scare few bridges left to bridge such divide.

 

The Chantry is the only institution within Thedas to actually bring understanding between these collective nationalities…-The writing breaks off and the ink is smeared- Of course I would pledge my sword to Beatrix’s cause.

 

At first I thought I would be assigned to the Templars; being a fairly accomplished warrior I felt it only fitting but no, according to the Cleric I will be sent for instruct by the Seekers of Truth, a lesser known branch of the Chantry.

 

In truth I find myself nervous I have never heard nor had dealings with theser people, but they serve the Chantry and the faith and I shall put my faith into them to honor the teachings of Andraste.

 

I leave for again for Orlais upon the morrow; I will prove myself to these Seekers and earn my place within their ranks; Andraste bless me in the trials to come.

 

I may have left my family an exile, a black marked outsider to my home, but when next i leave it, it will be the service to the Maker himself, not some masked lord who hides behind titles and the game.
