If the Hawke had not interfered the Arishok , there would be no rebellion of magi.

 

What's really criminal is how they made the Qunari react to the "Hawke" incident.  I get he was acting on his own and yes...PC and plot armor.....but thats your boy...thats your Arishok,  He still Qun and hes still with you....even if he was going to be demoted or removed you don't let outsiders do that to your people.  That was the first of quite a few gut punches to the Qunari in DA: I.

 

That was very weak and very wrong.

Thats the thing.  I have NO problem with him dying....i mean vs hawke?  That was garbage.  But I get it like I said PC and plot armor.....thats not what im talking about.  I'm talking about the entire Qun reaction to it and how it was handled by them after the fact.

 

You spend 2 games establishing the "Qunari" an do an awesome job, and now you're just like...hmmmm lets put them in a bunny suit and ignore all that stuff.

tbh to me its very Qun like. Its a needless fight over one rogue element. Its called disavowment governments do it all the time.

I would even go as far as the say they were trying to make the Qunari almost "Alien" to the world of DA and so far and beyond and unique to anything else.  The first time I played DA I was mindfukt by Sten and all of his talking and reactions.

 

Then you start paying attention and listening and you completely understand it.  It's not quite like anything else, but you get it.

So yeah i see the "alien" veiwpoint thats worthy of respect and to some extent admiration they are by the end of the day people who protect their own and the arishok to some extent(pending on POV) caused great harm to the qun and her people. And i say it as "cutting off a finger over the whole hand".

thats what friends do have logical disscussions without hyperbole. Sides its always good to debate the finer points of the qun

Surely, it's because they're not confident in their ability to invade the mainland successfully. It seems above all the Qun demands "convenience".

I haven't beat DA: I, but I assume there isn't some crazy chaos world state.  I also heard about the end, but I don't know if it was a troll...anyways thats not the point.  If DA4 picks up where DA: I left off and the entire game was about the Qunari attacking Thedas and taking over.  With no plot armor or player character interference.....Do you believe the Qun would be beaten?

Yes. Of course, even if the Qunari "won" the war, there's pretty much no chance that they successfully occupy Thedas.

idk its a complicated situation last i heard its deadlocked and judging from DAI they seem iffy and in no rush

Fantasy. Even during their first war they didn't even conquer beyond the north-eastern corner of Thedas despite their success. Now it seems the Qunari have too much trouble keeping themselves under control, let alone the larger part of Thedas. I think it will be a fight that requires most of Thedas to participate, as before, but I doubt there will be a total victory no matter who wins.
