which reminds me the minrathous circle requires more lyrium for circle bussiness * gives triplicate lyrium procurement form and gold required*

*Send a very large portion of lyrium, and a couple of golems to Mirathous* Ah, that's remind me when we Dwarves helped lifting the siege of Marnas Pell during the Fourth Blight.

I have a cultutal disdane for slavery(desended from slaves) but as person it really depends. If taken unwillingly im against it but if indentured for X year(s) of their own free will im somewhat against it.

Bear with me here I’m pretty tipsy at the moment from about five hours of drinking I did with a few buddies from my old squad anyway here we go; the one year war.

Explanation and or rant of the epic and grand storytelling of the One Year War of the UC Universe (Universal Century) of Mobile Suit Gundam.

Following the declaration of impendence by the then republic of Zeon in the 0060s under Zeon Deikun; the Earth Federation (A collection of Unified states of Earth roughly controlling the majority of the planet) imposed severe economic sanctions and politic pressure on the rogue colony.

Zeon the side (a collection of space stations) furthest from earth soon transferred leadership upon the death of Deikun, his successor Dwegin Zabi (Deikun’s chief advisor) declared the republic of Zeon, the Principality of Zeon and transformed the economically shattered republic into an autocracy.

Under the command of Dwegin rampant militarization went on within the side over the following years. This new military would become the scourge of the universe; Entrusting his eldest child, the Military and Political Genius Gihren Zabi with complete command of his military, Dwegin focused entirely on politics, His second oldest child Kycilia Zabi was put in charge of the special attack force, a spec ops division of the Zeonic Military, his third oldest child (whose name escapes me at the moment) was put in charge of the fortress factory of Solomen, a crucial zeonic space facility.

And his youngest Garma was enrolled into the Zeonic Military and after graduation granted officership.

For decades Zeon prepared and then came 0079 UC: Gihren Zabi unleashed a brilliant attack across the solar system, it later came to be known as the ten second attack (Zeon declared war just ten seconds before the attacks began), using a combination of chemical, nuclear and mobile suit weapons, dozens of Federation controlled stations and facilities across the stars were destroyed, millions died in the attack it delivered a decisive blow against the most larger, numerically and economically superior Federation.

However although the Federation was reeling; Gihren girded for yet another attack, targeting a key Federation Shipyard at Loum, one of the most infamous battles of the war began, a large federation fleet, including dry docked vessels defended the faculity, while the freshly blooded Zeonic Mobile suit corps attacked, this attack later led to the legends of many Zeonic pilots including the Red Comet Charr, Johnny Raiden and others, The side was ultimately destroyed by a combination of both sides using nuclear weapons, the Federation was dealt another decisive defeat.

With the Earth’s forces in disarray and demoralized; Gihren Zabi planned to end the war with a single massive show of force.

Operation British.

Hijacking a space colony he had his forces push the twenty kilometer station into the atmosphere of earth on a direct collision course with Jaburo, the main federation military command base in south America, however forces from the Federation moon bases and the earth fleet interfered and the damaged colony broke up however as physics will tell you, matter isn’t destroyed it is reconverted, pieces of the station survived and rained destruction across south east asia.

However the largest piece impacted directly at Sidney; the fragment struck with the force of 500 megatons the largest man made explosion in history.

Sidney was obliterated, the entire city wiped from existence (its just ocean in 0083)

After the failure of British both sides met in Antarctica to agree to the forbidding of the usage of weapons of mass destruction during their conflict.

And thus the war fell into a stalemate for another eight months until the deployment of the Federation weapon Gundam, this advanced mobile suit and its replicates were the key in the Federation evicting Zeonic forces from Earth, the battles across earth raged, millions perished but even so Zeon persisted, siphoning the wealth of Earth to fund its expansion and growth, But the writing was on the wall.

Garma Zabi: Zeonic Captain and Commander of Zeon forces in North America died in the fighting, he was the first Zabi to fall.

After failures in eastern Europe and South east Asia, the Earth was abandoned although some Zeon remnant forces would continue their offensives against the Federation in the years to come.

With Zeon in retreat and the Federation forces advancing, the space offensive began, little by little the territory taken by Zeon during its conquest of the solar system fell back into Federation hands, until finally a massed Federation fleet took its war to Solomon.

The battle was brutal and well fought, the Zeonic forces despite facing ten to one odds had the defensives of the fortress factory and strong morale, however after but just a day of fighting, the second Zabi fell and with it Solomon.

The first Zeonic Territory to fall.

With Solomon Fallen: Dwegin Zabi leader of the Principality agreed to a secret meeting with Federation Commander General Revil to discuss ending the war, However Gihren learned of his fathers treachery against the Homeland, and using the newly created Solar Array (a massive collection of inter space mirrors, plasma generators and nuclear reactors to produce beams of pure thermal energy on a massive scale)  he obliterated the Zeonic diplomatic mission along with nearly a third of the amassed Federation fleet.

The beginning of the End.

Despite severe losses at the botched peace talks the Federation forces under commands from earth continued its push into the Zeonic Heartland, directly into the territory of Side three until it came to Zeon’s final defense.

A Boa Qu: Like Solomon it was a massive construct, a combination of a fortress and a factory carved into the hulk of an Asteroid.

The last battered remnants of the Zeonic Navy, Mobile Suit Corps, and Special Attack Force gathered there: Their combined forces were around thirty to fifty Musai light cruisers,  around ten to twenty heavier cruiser class vessels, a few hundred inner space fighter craft, Four of the newly minted massive Dolas Class super carriers, Several hundred generation two to four mass production Mobile Suits ranging from Zaku 2s, Rickdoms, Goufs or the newly produced Gelgoog (the best mass production unit of the entire war)

On the other hand you had nearly fifteen hundred Federation mass production GM (A mass produced unit based on the Gundam) Several hundred warships, several hundred fighter craft and mass production ball units.

The Stage was set for the final battle.

Knowing it was impossible to match the Federation in numbers or offensive force; Gihren Zabi being the military and strategic genius that he was devised an ingenious defensive layout, unitizing a combination of combined firing lines, choke points, cross fire and his navy he erected four massive defensive lines across A Boa Qu.

And on December 30th 0079 Two armies met.

For nearly fourteen hours the Federal Forces battered themselves against Zeon’s seemingly invincible lines until the arrival of Kycilia Zabi the last surviving Zabi sibling to Gihren, Upon her arrival she confronted the Supreme Commander of Zeon in the heart of A boa qu’s command center about the death of their Father, she executed the Zeonic Dictator, Kycilia then took command, however lacking her brother’s brilliance the entire defensive stratagem he had erected began to crumble with his death, entire portions of the fleet actually abandoned A boa Qu upon learning of Gihren’s death, following the command of Vice Admiral Delaz a man who would in the future become known as the “ghost of Gihren Zabi” With the collapse of the defensive lines around A Boa Qu the battle quickly deteriated, the first Dolas Carrier was sunk and with it, the fleet lost much of its remaining mobile suit strength and was unable to prevent the destruction of the second and third Carrier.

The battle raged for another six hours during which the final Dolas was sunk and Kycilia herself was slain but in the end on January 1st of 0080 UC.

The Principality formally surrendered unconditionally to the Federation.

Perhaps someone brought this up before me, but I think it'd be great to have a DLC like The Darkspawn Chronicles for DAI except you play as the Venatori. I don't think it'd be hard to pull off, maybe you can play as Calpernia or Samson in some way. Or perhaps set it the alternate reality we see in the mage quest, all in all it'll feel very evil to play that DLC and I'll probably feel bad while slaughtering all the Inquistor's companions but then feel good about it.

It's an idea. It might be enjoyable, but imo...

The Archdemon > Corypheus

Insofar, as I enjoyed the way the Archdemon actually whispered into our PC's mind during Darkspawn Chronicles. I found the experience simultaneously unnerving and compelling. I don't see Corypheus in DAI as having that much...flair.

Was it anything like the whispering in the battle of Ostagar clip when darkspawn enter the battlefield? That was actually quite awesome. I haven´t played the Darkspawn Chronicle so I can´t say.

Anyone fans of the imperium have reservations on slaves? I like the idea and wish Bioware takes us to Minrathos an have us impact the slavery there.

Dorian made sense when he said slaves are not any worse than people stuck in slums such as alienages without any hope leaving there, poverty an desperation is pretty much permanent.

While some slaves are treated poorly, excellence is rewarded in Tevinter regardless of Origin so slave can free himself and can even provide for a family while being a slave. There are many ex-slave heroes in Tevinter who rose up above their station. Of course I'm against both slavery and having slums, my point is we shouldn't be too hard about it because the south is in no better position to judge Tevinter. Not ot mention Orlesian nobility is known to have slaves anyhow.

Maybe...In the case of the hurlock vanguard, it's a persistent and chaotically overlapping discordance of whispers, which I might compare to the sound of being near the shards in DAI. Then it turns the "camera" over to your goal, and tells you what to do (usually killing a prominent NPC) in subtitles. It seemed to me to make it clear that following the commands is a compulsion the vanguard absolutely cannot ignore, and I think there was a thought that the archdemon communicated about being "together" or maybe just "come to me". Your mileage may vary, of course, but it seemed to imply a certain longing and something like a intimate reverence when it came to the effect of the arch demon's "song" on the darkspawn.

There's a couple different ways a person could be horrified by that campaign. If you care about any of the NPC's or any of the companions, then there's a bitter unpleasantness to slaughtering them, of course.

The thing that really got to me though, was the insight into how the call of an archdemon works in a darkspawn's mind. There is nothing more important than the will of the archdemon. I found it visceral, and I doubt we could have something quite that intense with Corypheus.
