Yet your posts come off as you celebrating Tevinter, not hating it as much as the other nations. 

 

Not anymore than someone would "celebrate" another nation. Also you have to realize this thread is a bit of role-play. Like we said things like "Fenris never said tears of slaves mixed with wine tasted so good", no one really meant it, well at least I didn't.

 

Tevinter could surely use reforms but its not doing any worse than south, it has its up and downs. Tarts with crowns are not any better than Magisters and political power and its corruption is greater than any magic. What a mad emperor did to Ferelden cannot be done with any magic. It was political power.

I hate vints, but a slave should take their shovel or pickaxe or whatever and put it in their "owners" neck and accept their fate or go down fighting.  Slavers are bad....but the slaves exist because they allow it...they do it instead of fight back.  You can't fault the vints for taking advantage of how sheep act.....even though its wrong to do in the first place.

They are paying for their crimes against the rest of Thedas by serving as a shield against the ox-men. So, let us have a taste to brave people of Tevinter who die so we may remain safe and warm in our palaces.

What kind of slave doesn't require some amount of "maintenance and upkeep"? Does that somehow make them not slaves?

The fact that Tevinter slaves can revolt means they are well fed and in condition to fight and revolt. Same cannot be said about elves and humans in southern slums and Qunari.

We've been down this road.  You said yourself the Qunari are not slavers, and that the qamek is not used for the purpose of making slaves and no, someone the term "slave" applies to is not the same as someone who has been exposed to qamek.  They are "slaves" in the sense because like all the things with Qunari after the procedure they get the most out of them that they can instead of killing them.  The most important thing being they were rescued from being "hopeless"

It's not though.  It's all about fixing the hopeless.  That is the reason it is done.  Slavery doesn't come into the practice at all.  The fact they are used to the best of their ability after is Qunari culture.

It's not a slippery slope. The entire purpose of viddath-bas is to provide free labor. They are property, beasts of burden even (this much also applies to Saarebas). They don't have any choice, or any rights. That's as basic and literal as slavery gets.

 

You can get sentimental with the "hopeless" bull****, but that doesn't change what it is.
