It really doesn't matter, its just a slave.

Sure. Really, the important point to me is that I would like it if Blood magic was an additional, optional power as opposed to taking up a specialization slot.

To be fair I personally don't like specializations all together. I don't get why some schools should be treated differently than others and limited.

*With a smooth move Nazlik pulled her hood off and sabres appeared in her hands. The rivaini woman gasped with delight, "oh you are a big girl, and a horny one!" she said smiling as she saw Nazlik without the hood. Nazlik glared at her silently with a wrinkle in her brow.

 

"And you are soon three dead idiots if you do not get out of our way" Ukki said gazing the man before him with cold eyes.

"tsk, tsk, threats, threats, always it has to be threats". said the dwarf behind him, "people do not have any manners these days".

"I´m afraid that is not possible I need information regarding crows and you obviously have some" the blond man said firmly.

 

Rivaini winked at Nazlik "Hey! I have a friend who would love to meet you, you could but heads together. She´s a big girl like you". "Shut up ******!" Nazlik hissed back at her which strangely made the rivaini laugh out loud.

"This is your last warning, out of my way peasants. Now!" Ukki said with scorn.

"peasants? Now you are just being cruel". Dwarf chuckled. "Now I get it", he snapped his fingers, "he is some nobleman wanting some payback for some horrible fashion crime done against him. That is why he wants the help of the crows".

The blond man pulled his sword out of the sheath and pointed it at Ukki, "do not make this any harder than it already is. I don´t want needlessly harm you".

 

"Harder?" Ukki asked with a wry smile watching the man, "there is nothing hard in this". He said as a arc of lightning flied from his arm and channeled through the man´s sword sending him flying on his back into the alleys trash piles.

 

He heard a triple clicking sound as the dwarf shot at his back with three arrows hitting his magical shield almost simultaneously which broke off without harm. "Excellent crossbow" he thought as he turned to the dwarf, "I need to take that for the Imperial army techs". Before he had turned all the way to face the dwarf he pulsated a repulsion field sending the dwarf rolling down the alley.

 

Nazlik charges the rivaini with blades flying in the air who met her half way daggers in her hands. She was surprisingly good but Nazlik´s height and sabres gave her a longer reach and the rivaini had to slowly back down to the alley whence she came from.

Nazlik followed her close by. She immediately realized that she had made a mistake. The alley was very narrow and her sabres were not as effective in close quarters as the rivaini´s daggers. After a few testing clashes they circled around each other estimating each others abilities. Rivaini attempted to strike at her but she blocked her leaving a bloody cut on the rivaini´s cheek.

"That will leave a mark, unless you have money which I doubt such a wench as you are has" Nazlik said with a grin.

"Wench??" rivaini wondered circling her slowly, "I´ll have you know I am a captain".

"Sure you are" Nazlik hissed watching her movements closely, "a captain of the alley tramps".

"You really need to work on your insults big girl" rivaini replied as she attacked with a series of deadly strikes which Nazlik blocked with ease.

"You fight in very conventional style" rivaini continued, "perfectly executed moves, straight out of the rulebook. Too bad rules don´t help you out here". "Here is some rule for you!" Nazlik shouted and high kicked her in the chest as the rivaini jumped in the air avoiding her low flying sabre. The timing of the kick was perfect and it sent her flying right out of the alley.

 

Before the dwarf was able to get on his feet Ukki placed a glyph of paralysis on him freezing him on the spot. "This will hold you long enough so that I can collect that crossbow" he muttered and turned to face the blond man who had already got back on his feet. "Last change mugger" Ukki said, "run now and you´ll live". The man charged him without a word with a determined look on his face.

 

Suddenly the rivaini woman flew out of the alley landing next to Ukki. He quickly enveloped the blond man into a force field and turned to face this new threat. Rivaini rolled on her legs fixing her eyes on Ukki. With a grim smile he enveloped the woman in a crushing prison. "Time to end this" he said to himself as the rivaini convulsed as his magic tightened around her.

 

Suddenly he saw a bright flash from the corner of his eye, something happened in the direction where he had contained the leader of this group. He felt his magical shield waver. As he turned something struck him in the forehead. Last thing he saw was a metallic flash and then everything went dark.

 

He opened his eyes as pain pulsated in his forehead. First thing he saw was a sea of white hair, framing Nazlik´s face hovering above him. She was looking down at him as he lay in her arms. Tears had streamed from her eyes, "you are safe now" she whispered.

"What did just happen" he said confused. She wiped gently his forehead and he saw blood in her hand. 

They struck you down, I begged them to leave us alone" she whispered. "The guy was a templar, a strong one even" he said, "he broke out from my force field. Where are they now?" he tried to look around. Nazlik closed her eyes.

 

Nazlik emerged from the alley just as Ukki´s magic holding both the dwarf and rivaini dissipated. He saw the blond man referred as blondie by the dwarf walking to Ukki to pick up his sword he had thrown at him. Ukki lay down in the alley on his back with a contusion on his forehead. The sword had hit him in the head pommel first.

 

Rivaini struggled on her feet cursing. She grabber her dagger and leaped toward Ukki murder in her eyes.

"NO!" Nazlik screamed as she grabbed him by the hair placing her dagger on his throat. Nazlik dropped her sabres and fell on her knees, "Please do not kill him, have mercy!"  she begged. Rivaini stood there looking at her with cold eyes. "Isn´t that a bit too late now?" she asked with a ice in her voice.

The blond man gestured at the rivaini and she held her hand for the moment. "And why should we spare him?" he asked sheathing his sword. "Please, I love him. He means everything to me." Nazlik said as tears started to fall from her eyes. Dwarf walked to them placing his crossbow on his back. "Maybe there is a way to avoid needles bloodshed blondie?" he asked.

"Why are you with this apostate, what are you doing here?" he asked turning to Nazlik.

"He is not a apostate, he is a Magister" she replied silently.

Dwarf looked at her closely, " a qunari woman begging for the life of Magister. I sense a strange story behind this" he said interested, "Why are you with him?". "I am his escort, I go where ever he wants" Nazlik sobbed, "we are lovers".

 

"Tell me how did you get into that crow stronghold and we will let you go" blond man said soothingly.

"I don´t know" Nazlik said, "he knows, but he couldn´t help you either since we only had one time access".

Rivaini moved her hand and drop of blood appeared on Ukki´s throat. "Please, have mercy on him, I am with child!" Nazlik cried out.

 

Dwarf whistled surprised, "holy cow, if this gets out Minrathous is seriously going to explode!"

The blond man standing next to the rivaini stopped her and crouched down to watch Nazlik in the eyes.

"Do you have anything to tell me which is useful?" he asked. "Prince Valisti, he was our contact" she said looking at her hands. He looked at his companions, "I think this is all we need" he said. Then turning to her he continued,"look me into eyes", as she looked slowly up he asked "what is your name?". "Nazlik" she whispered.

 

He looked at her silently for a moment with compassion in his eyes, "If you ever need a safe place to raise your child Nazlik come to Denerim, Ferelden. The royl palace, ask for me. King Alistair by name. They will listen, I promise". He stood up, "Take care of the baby".

 

Alistair gestured to his companions and they vanished into the night. Nazlik looked with amazement after them.

 

"They are gone, they left us alone" Nazlik whispered. "Please lets just get out of here" she said as she helped him to his feet. "Alright, for now" he said holding his head, "I will deal with them later. This is not over yet". They walked slowly back to their lodging.

Of course, it didn't have to takes the full might of the Imperium since the Elves's stupidity doom themselves, and their so called glorious civilization is ruined because the Elves are foolish enough to destroy themselves. We'd just deliver the killing blow.

Maybe, but, as the saying goes, control yourself and you control the world, something Tevinter has never learned. Too busy trying to control others and things out of their control and bringing worse destruction onto the the rest of the world. Heading for a fall, I think, after all their meddling. If the 'cattle' don't get them, the foolish Elves will. There's a long queue lining up to give out some payback!!!

Tevinter is definitely human-centric, but not really for humanity's sake like Cerberus.
