That's not even a decision. I will always choose Tevinter Imperium, it's a high time the rightful master of Thedas reclaim this continent once and for all.

We are in the same boat, course, with exceptions in your argument.

And that's certainly a failing no doubt.o.o Honestly Orlais and Tevinter should just cobble their cultures together.

Why? Even the mages must prove their worth.

o.o Honestly Orlais and Tevinter should just cobble their cultures together.

Orlesian culture is already like a third-rate Tevinter... for soft babbys.

That reminds me of that Magister I made Tranquil.

Well, I'm not manipulating the Wardens, and deluding myself, but you certainly share some similarity with him.

Coming from Orlais's fan who want to see the world under a single banner. We have more in common than you think.  :P

Then who? Nevarra? The Inquisitions?
........................Not the dog lords?

Indeed, how could there even be any other way? *confused*

He might not answer the question. I tried to ask Z what image he would shape Thedas into if he had the power to make it however he wanted, and he just led me around in circles for a while until he plainly told me that he wouldn't say "any more than that".

He either isn't sure himself, or he likes to keep people guessing. Or both.

It's quite simple.

The one banner that crosses borders, cultures, languages and more.

That of Faith.

Ideally; it'd be a monolithic singular identity state under the governance of a collection of various Oligarchs, Monarchs, and the Divine.

A true Empire not under the auspices of man but maker.

But that of course is merely the beginning.

And the ultimate end would be?

Bringing the Chant to the four corners of the world.

And along with it civilization and the means to enable it.

Or something; expansion of the borders in and of itself is merely the by product the needed shift in society.

No longer would there need be nation states in truth, monoculturalism would hopefully be fairly easy to induce.

*He paced around in his study indecisively. His restless eye jumped through the old book shelves containing numerous books. Old books filled with spells and rituals, magical knowledge gathered through out the long history of the Imperium by members of the Vaellanius family. His feeling of incompetence made him frustrated. All this knowledge and still not being able to repeat the studies of Magister Alexius. Infuriating! "I am so much better and stronger mage than he ever was, why is it that I cannot do this??!" he muttered." Does it have something to do with the rifts, is that it?" he thought. All he knew was that Alexius was not able to perform such features he was said done in Redcliffe before the rift appeared, and so testify the papers he was able to get his hands on. But so much is still missing. "And still no no information from the crows, what is with that?" He wondered. "Could it be they failed to kidnap the young Pavus?". "To the void with that!" he huffed and tossed the old tome he was holding against the wall.

"Why are you so upset?" a soft voice asked. He turned around to see Nazlik to glide in the room wearing her evening gown. He couldn´t get over it how silent she could move with that outfit. And by the gods how good she looked, he had to admit to himself. She was absolutely glowing. Her appearance made his anger calm down. "Nothing really important" he said, "just some trivial issues with spells that I can´t seem to get over with". "And I am still quite not over the fact that some alley mooks were able to beat us, and they didn´t even take our money" he continued rubbing his forehead. He had healed the bruise long time ago but his ego still felt the sting. "I told you, the leader claimed to be king Alistair of Ferelden" she said, "that is why they left us alone when I said that we only had one time access to the crow stronghold". "You really believe king Alistair would roam the back alleys of Antivan city in night time with only two companions" he said shaking his head, "I believe they just got cold feet when they had to fight us. The noise brought the night watch soon as you remember, we barely got away ourselves".

"Maybe.." Nazlik said, "the good thing is that we are both unharmed. Nothing else matters". she glided to him with a smile, "and we are home now".
"Indeed. I recall you had something to tell me once we get back home" he said looking into her eyes smiling, "if I remember correctly since I seem to loose myself into your eyes every time I keep looking into them".
"Yes I have, but it can wait for now. I will tell you soon, there is still time. and before you start to talk again about my stunning eyes I need to remind you that it is time now" she said with a giggle,
"time for what?" he asked, but then remembered, "oh yes, the ball. Let me just get my staff and we will go". He raised his hand and his trusty staff flew over the room into his hand. "Now I am ready to go" he said grabbing her by the arm and escorted her out.
