Also those marches ended for only ONE reason buddy and you know it.
It wasn't Tevinter military supremacy.
That is rather subjective view, so far there is zero evidence of Orlais having supreme military machive over the Imperium. One partially succesful campaign really doesn´t reveal anything.

I would guess the Qunari are currently a possible 2nd place in military power, with Tevinter being 3rd (assuming the Magisterium unites for the cause), and Orlais and Nevarra are competing for 4th.
First place is probably the Kossith. The Qunari either left or were kicked out, and the Qunari, who believe the Qun should spread everywhere, have never been back to their homeland to the point that most if not all forget what the Kossith look like. The Qunari do not dare go back to lands they originally knew and instead go against lands they know little about. I wonder why?

Prodigal Son, pretty fitting considering how Pro-Chantry I got from playing Inquisition and putting Vivienne on the throne a couple times.
I was pretty tempted to abandon the north and defect to Nevarra, which is kinda Tevinter-lite. However, like Dorian, I can leave Tevinter, I can have disagreements with Tevinter, but I can't remove Tevinter from my heart.
