Err, more or less, takes place after the books ... but it seems that Andrzej Sapkowski approved some thing, I'm not sure, but he said he does not like the game, but confirmed something that I speak will be spoiler, so can or may not be considered canon. So much so that there is a reason to Kaer Morhen be destroyed, which is not canon,was written by other authors, but at the last book that Sapkowski threw it implenta it, so I think canon, even the games.
