Ya, if they don't want to convert and they have a lot of power, we just kill them.

thats what qunari do... not us
do not compare us to Godless cowfolk! we are above them, better than.
The Imperial Chantry is the one true church. It is the duty of all Citizens of the Imperium to Worship the maker and observe his "true" chant.
the Venatori have gone rogue.
If a wheel fell off your cart would you not have your slaves put it back on?
actually id do it myself(moral issue for some reason XD) but to force conversion is what qunari do. And yes we are better... but only because we give them a choice my brother. And yes the venatori have gone rogue i agree. You'd think id adjust to my new home loldo not compare us to Godless cowfolk! we are above them, better than.

I could lend you some slaves if you'd prefer?
you misunderstand what i mean by forced.. this isn't some Qunari brainwashing concoction or off to the labour camps to be droned on about how great being an object is all day.
it's quite simple........ Accept the Imperial Chantry, the maker and the requirement of Magi Leadership to serve man.............or you can explode in a giant ball of blood and no identifiable matter.
It's a choice.
thank you but theres this redheaded elf chick down by the market and a former slave... my game is crap as it is XDI could lend you some slaves if you'd prefer?

But... a true Tevinter would worship Dumat like Corypheus? Right? O.o
a backwards one perhaps. Dragon worship is for primitive cultures that lack a logical outlook... speaking from a academic standpointBut... a true Tevinter would worship Dumat like Corypheus? Right? O.o

Ugh. ![]()
To hell with the maker and all other Gods, it's time Tevinter woke up and took the destiny into it's own hands. The proud magisters of Tevinter should bow to no one.
think that led to the blights and our nation nearly falling. Not a sound idea my friendUgh.

Well yeah my Qunari necromancer is going to be rocking it tevinter style in skyhold I am a sucker for good style and they have it and dragon statues man!? GODDAM DRAGON STATUES! Ahem still I am quite curious about the country as well and I hope to see it in dragon age 4. Still quite interested in talking with Dorian I recall that he is trying to show that Tevinter is not all that bad and show people hey we are not crazy evil mage people. Plus we can talk about spirits and magic and stuff. Plus his moustache is pure godmode.
Oh after reading masked empire I hate Orlais that place is garbage.

Experiment, fail, learn, repeat, devout, master => become complete, my friend. ![]()

There is empirical evidence for dragons.
So how is that illogical from an academic standpoint in the world of Thedas ![]()
(I probably missed something obvious here)
I do wonder are reavers more of a thing over there? Considering the dragon iconography and the use of dragons in wars I am surprised we don't hear of reavers or maybe they are like some secret uber elite guard soldiers or something.
damn it my inner scientist cant argue that logic... i do wish to further my knowledge on BMExperiment, fail, learn, repeat, devout, master => become complete, my friend.

And to do that we must first get rid of the chantry, return to the good old times. Just this time, don't be overly trust worthy of the fade entities, and have more self-respect as to not bow to them.
a dragon is only as smart as a dolphin on average(still think they are stupid, if i can fish it and eat it stupid lol jk). And while they definatly have a alot of power worshipping them are hallmarks of either savagery/barbarism and possibly logical fallacy. Really worshipping dolphins next you'll say "fish are friends not food"There is empirical evidence for dragons.

hmm old style study witg mondern safety measires could workAnd to do that we must first get rid of the chantry, return to the good old times. Just this time, don't be overly trust worthy of the fade entities, and have more self-respect as to not bow to them.

Also taint! Now that the taint has been brought to Thedas, there are is so much research to be done. There needs to be a whole academy devoted to what Avernus was studying. What if in theory maybe Mages can:
1) Cast through taint without touching the fade, as darkspawn emissaries do.
2) Resist demonic possession better.
3) Amplify the casting with the power of the taint.
The possibilities are endless, there's much more that can be discovered.
Then there's also red lyrium now, the tears in the fade, eluvians, so many things to discover and perfect. Magisters could become like Gods.
Uh oh, division. It's like the magisterium in here.
I think the bottom line is, a true Tevinter is one who is loyal to the Archon, who is chosen by the Magisterium and destined to lead us. Also, a true Tevinter knows that the Qun is as much of a blight as the taint. So, as long as you are not Qunari or supporting a heretical version of the Chant of Light, you are an honored citizen, right?
Opposed above and below, and yet Tevinter endures! Truly, it is the holy land, the chosen nation!
Careful KainD, reckless research and pursuit for power has brought much disaster to Tevinter before.
Make sure you have your backup plans and safety measures in place first!
(Little suspicious of some mages getting god-complexes, they may end up betraying Tevinter...)

Eh honestly after this whole breach shebang is over I could see my Qunari going to Nevarra and tevinter to learn more about the Mortalitasi and necromancy.

Search for power always brings disaster at first, but then it brings so much more, and is worth it in the long run. ![]()
Also slaves, make sure to test on slaves first, preferably Qunari war prisoners.

and thats a bit extreme... and a waste of coin just to use slaves for that purposeSearch for power always brings disaster at first, but then it brings so much more, and is worth it in the long run.

I just meant Qunari as in followers of the Qun.
I differentiate Qunari and qunari with captital "Q" for the adherents of that philosophy and little "q" for the large, usually horned, humanoids from the north.
Learning about magic is a noble pursuit!

Well, he did say preferably war prisoners...
Also, if we wish to study the taint, why not have an expedition go into the Anderfels, they are always having problems with the darkspawn and probably have a problem with ghouls. Some field research could be helpful, and one could observe with little cost or loss of slaves (except by travel and darkspawn attacks, but those are just times for more data gathering, then).
If we learn enough, we could help the Anders, gain better relations with the Anderfels, and probably gain more trade with them... and have them more open to Imperials in their lands... spread the Imperial Chantry, get even more influence in the Anderfels.... probably gain more influence with the Grey Wardens... more secrets...
Hey, let's send an expedition to the Anderfels and open up more dialogue with Nevarra, I'm seeing opportunities!
