Speaking of, if the next game takes place in Tevinter Imperium, anyone else fear that they'll force us to be goody two shoes liberating slaves, and the game end with the Imperium crumbles to the sea as the Qunari invading the rest of Thedas. I just want to play as villain or a character who's out there for himself, and not to make the world a better place for once. :(

My faith in BioWare is dwindling...but deep down I still hope they'll be fair to us all.

You know I used to tell myself that "I'm done with BioWare since DA2", and yet here I am. Despite my dwindle faith I still keep coming back for some reason, but I really hope they'll be fair to everyone.

Or maybe because I still had hope for them as well.

Uh, let's get back to any subject about Tevinter Imperium. I already drag this to off-topic long enough. XD

I'm afraid of it. Also, I'm afraid that they will put us in the role of a slave itself. There will be of course at least a three tons of drama about non straight characters and their place in ancient magister lines; three thousand Dorians screaming at us about their poor lives and how their daddied are bad.

I would never call my character a villain, but yes, I would like to play as magister; have slaves and sacrifice them. I would like to use a blood magic to alter non straight characters into straight. I would love to gather whole villages of unruly peasants and drown  them in their blood. In fact I think TI would be agreat opportunity to enhance a war table and allow us to manage slaves, sell them, upgrade them; run bordellos and choose managers for it. I think a slave minion would be far better than mabari; your own wild elf, kept in the damp, dark cell since his birth: rabid rabbit!

Nah. They've said one of the reasons why we didn't visit Tevinter this game was because it deserved its own game, which is great.

Also, given that the Blight and the Old Gods are as yet unexplained and given that there's at least some relation to the events you mentioned from DAI, I think a game set in Tevinter is ideal. It's the oldest place in Thedas and has connections to everything that happened way back when. If anything, I think the stuff that happened in DAI increase the chances of a DA4 set in Tevinter.

Heres hoping. It could be epic.

*Story continues*

I don't believe BioWare putting us in the role of a slave is the end of the world, nor it'll ruin DA4, so long as they went with "rise to the power" theme for the story, and NOT force us to play as revolutionary or liberator of slaves. I remember the Sith Inquisitor class story in the Old Republic, and its ending is very satisfying. You begin as a slave, everyone looks down on you and your master who see you as her pawn has a plan to kill you once you've outlived your usefulness. If you think it was already bad enough, there's your rival who's traditional sith lord who doesn't want to see slave rise to power, but you'll discover the source of power for yourself and use it to defeat him. In the end you become one of the most powerful sith lord, and you'll have place in the Dark Council as well as number of your followers, minions, and even you even have your own fleet. You are feared and respected throughout the Empire, it's feel awesome.

I'd like to see BioWare come up with various routes and options for us. Like you can be tough but fair master to your servants/slaves to win their loyalty, or you can be downright cruel to your slaves, sacrificing them to increase your power. I just want them to give us in the position of power, and allow us to use this power the way we see fit. I hope they give us an option to be a hero or villain or neutral, instead of forcing us to be in the role that we never wanted to. One thing is certain, though, If they allow me to play as a Magister. I want to return the Imperium to its former glory, as well as burn Par Vollen to the ground.

The Tevinter Imperium, and hell, even Par Vollen deserve their own game. A mere DLC or expansion won't do it justice.

There was a lot of that going around.  :P

How right you are. :P

Yeah, I'm with the dwarf on this one, I think I mentioned this before, I really want a Tevinter themed game and I really fear how eaware will handle it.

Irrelevant question, when will the bat rise again?

Oh no, never! Being a slave means that your family is incompetent, mud blood and questionable genes! Slaves reek of weakness, hell, they are not even humanoid beings, just vocal objects. Would you like to play an object? I would certainly prefer to avoid it! Plastic soldiers are one thing, but being a thing in TI smells like rotten flesh. No matter how far a slave will go, it will remain a a lowly thing forever, a liberati or other cur. I would prefer to start as a proper mage from Altus family, son of a mighty magister, powerhouse arcanist who is the best from the very beginning.

Ughh, your ideas are trully scary! 'Slave' he said! 'slave'!

I think it was the eleventh, I recall. A triumphant return I am sure.

That's the tricky part. Bioware surely knows that Tevinter is popular. It was even a Skyhold customization option.

They also managed to give a balanced portrayal more recently -- Dorian, Maevaris, and Erasthenes are great examples of non-cackling Tevinters. It's possible that they may well give us a chance to play a pro-Tevinter character.

Considering that the game will only pass Tevinter, if the bioware want another hero we will have the slave liberator or the northern hero who expelled the Qunaris from their lands. Every choice a loss.

I fully believe the next game will focus on Qunari and Vints.....they are both going to be made a sad, sick joke out of and the real "big evil" is going to slaughter them both.  The marginalizing and total 180 DA: I did to the Qun is just the beginning.  They are going to take something with a lot of potential and destroy it.

get ready for the super speshul Qunari mage who doesn't have to be collared or watched because they're in a super speshul section of the Ben Hassy.

*shudder* I fear they might actually ruin it, and I personally hope it wouldn't come to that as I'm already sick of "everyone unite against the common enemy" theme, although I'd admit it'll be pretty amusing to see the Qunari and the Tevinter Imperium forge temporary alliances, then turn on each other once this common enemy is dealt with. XD
