Probably because it's not a backwater yet.
Or because the Inquisition has already won the support of Orlais for the duration of the crisis and that move is overlooked.

Even with the support of the crown, I could see it soiling relations among the various nobles... and not just in Orlais.
If we do get to see the Imperium in a future game I'd absolutely love it if they showcased some new magic. One thing I didn't like about DA:I is that in terms of new and varied spells it seemed like more of a step backwards, most combat spells were just elementalism and now healing magic is also gone in order to present a greater challenge. The problem with this in terms of lore is that it just makes the Inquisitor seem utterly incompetent in that regard. Specifically what I'd love to see would be some higher tier blood magic, it's been hinted that blood magic can warp people so I'd definitely like to see something like that.

Oh man, you shouldn´t have done that , no need to give any such ideas to devs. ![]()

Every need.
I was thinking of maybe taking Nerva down that path... not enough money for constant sacrifices, but enough to get fat. I wonder if elves can even become morbidly obese.

Wasn't there a really fat elven guy in Dawn of the Seeker?

That would be a sight. ![]()

Id probably get bored if they went cyborg... i can do golems but ew
Why?
well golems are clichéd yes but cyborgs imply a sci-fy aspect. Harvesters fall under this spectrum so they also bore me both lore and battle. I just cant wrap my head around it. If magic must be grafted to flesh and mechcanical blahblah, it should be at most a artifact(necklace ,gauntlet, glass eye) least then it will entertain me.Why?

But if they go either of these routes i will sit back and wait to hear the explaination then make judgment
I mean. Pelinal was had something put in his chest (Chim-El Adabal IIRC). I wouldn't be beneath Tevinter to make a super-soldier program installing lyrium or something into dead people or something. It could be cool. Like an experiment gone wrong type of side quest.
ah nvm i confused the wrong story (TES lore is hard to sift through). If going SS program idea think we had that with fenrisI mean. Pelinal was had something put in his chest (Chim-El Adabal IIRC). Wouldn't a Harvester be more of a Frankenstein-esque corpsemonster than a cyborg? Even less sci-fi than a Golem to that extent.
Maybe we can bind spirits within tiny Lyrium constructs, place them under the skin. NANOMACHINES.

If flying cows is the least of Tevinter's accomplishments involving magic and ingenuity I can only imagine what the 'good stuff' is. Maybe Fenris was a prototype. Looking back I feel as I should return him to Danarius now.

I'm pretty sure the whole breaking into God's house thing tops the list.

Meh. Whoever sundered the Fade from the real world in the first place has that honor. 'Sides, I'd rather focus on magic that can benefit people through practical application. Storming God's house doesn't come with anything other than blights and bragging rights.

Bragging rights are the main currency in Tevinter.
and lose the heavy biased viewpoint nah lol sides its hilarious to have defend mages lolIf flying cows is the least of Tevinter's accomplishments involving magic and ingenuity I can only imagine what the 'good stuff' is. What about something like the Esper mechanism-people?
A touch of sci-fi, but just enough aesthetic elegance to really evoke much more of a fantasy flavor?
