Mage vs Templar is the stalest of arguments at this point. It's older than old.

thats probaby my limit but still very nice and i can work with thatWhat about something like the Esper mechanism-people?
A touch of sci-fi, but just enough aesthetic elegance to really evoke much more of a fantasy flavor?

i was being witty id rather not get into it. "Polishing the staff" gets old and im running out of pass-aggro jibes lolMage vs Templar is the stalest of arguments at this point. It's older than old.
I mean, Dwarves can already make ****in' holodiscs so I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to the implementation of magitech.

I know it wasn't a shot at anyone. I'm just saying when we go to Tevinter that garbage shouldn't even be brought up. BioWare's been piggy-backing off of the same argument for three games now. It's made them lazy.

Word to mother. That was one of the coolest revelations of DA:I. Dwarvish holocrons and ****.
im just tired of the same shite topic daily. If its not elf this mage that its just a broken record...I know it wasn't a shot at anyone. Looks good. If it would be more of a Fenris type of lyrium soldier it would be more for my taste. Less tech, more magic. Same with the cyborgs too Bruce, I like the dwarven golem building rather than semi-tech. Feels more like fantasy that way.

I seem to have missed something, where did this come up?

Well that's what I mean. I'm not talking T-800 or anything. More along the lines of applying magical/elemental/artificial constructs to humans/elves/dwarves.

Under Her Skin. You have to side with the Templars.
Makes me wonder if it would be possible to talk with someone else in real time using similar technology.
That would give Tevinter one hell of an advantage. But realistically BW's dropped the ball with this in the past. Just look at the eluvian network.

Alright then, that is something that probably will not happen. Can´t support those uppity bastards. ![]()

How would a dwarven artifact give the Imperium a advantage? The variant we recover was on the body of a merchant and it was merely a playblack device, if there were a higher end version wouldn't every major military power have one? Including Antivian merchants and alike?
o.o That's my thinking, if the dwarves actually had the capacity, they would be selling it.

Treaties and such. Tevinter would have the advantage of trade exclusivity. That's not to say the tech wouldn't inevitably leak. But it's Shaper magic so that all really depends on how willing the diamond quarter is to bargain with tradition.

I felt the same, but then I tried it on one play through.
The envy demon is just...really cool. The narrative is fascinating.
and there's the added benefit of being able to conscript the Templar order, and treat the Templars like pawns.
I could see some circle mages enjoying that.
i will admit the temp side has things that are pretty cool but the only reason i joined them was cause barris and cal... hotties for days. But i just prefer hushed whispersI felt the same, but then I tried it on one play through.

Hmm... maybe a quick peak then...

Well, there are those scrying stones or whatever that were mentioned in Asunder.
sending stones. They still need to be delivered which now i tgink about it its possible these holocrons are just fancy sending stonesWell, there are those scrying stones or whatever that were mentioned in Asunder.

Yeah but they aren't holograms!
o.o
The Akatsuki fan in me just can't help but enjoy magical lantern technique rip offs.

Yeah, those. Though, there's a good chance they were a plot convenience that was needed at the moment and we'll never hear of them again.

I understood none of this.
I understood none of this.
I can rectify that.
My understanding from the third data book which covered the technique is that you basically have thought waves collected by the Leader and then projected into a physical avatar.
Basically picture a hologram of you forming and you being aware of both it and your real body simultaneously despite dozens or hundreds of miles separating you; It was why Akatsuki lasted as long as it did; it didn't many many physical bases when you can literally just have a meeting of holograms in the ass end of nowhere.
Like they are doing in this picture.
