*As the evening sun was setting over Minrathous sending long shadows in the streets Ukki stepped in the Archon´s palace. This time through the side door to avoid prying eyes. He had left his personal guard to wait outside in the alley, there were issues better left to only for few and selected ears. Only Nazlik followed him inside. Archon was waiting for him in the study.

"Nice to see you, I was expecting you already" he said as Ukki stepped in leaving Nazlik outside. "It is nice to see you too my friend" Ukki said nodding, "and thank you for seeing me in this late hour".
"I understood it was important and private" Archon said pointing to a chair, "your message was specific about that".
He sat in the chair and took the offered wine glass, "It is, and as you probably already figured out, it is about the Venatori and their supporters".
"I had a feeling you wanted to talk about that" Archon said, "there has been a lot of talk and not all of it good".

"Indeed" Ukki said taking a sip of the wine, "It has been a long day so I will cut straight to the point and spare your time. As you remember I had some requests about the list I gave you regarding the members of the Venatori, and people involved in their activities?"

"I do" Archon said nodding, "you said there would be people you need to be released of the charges when the time comes. That was the price of the list".
"True. And if I may be so bold, here are some of the people from the list I need to be freed" Ukki said handing the Archon a parchment, "their involvement has been minimal at best and can be dismissed easily. Lack of discriminating evidence will do nicely".

"Done" Archon said looking at the list, "they are minor players anyway as you said. Anything else? Like you said It has been a long day" he sighted. "I have received a lot of complaints regarding the Imperator of Ordo Silentia. You wouldn´t have anything to do with it?"

"Of course not" Ukki smiled, it was a warm smile but it didn´t reach his eyes. "I would not undermine you my friend. Remember, I supported your election as Archon. And I will keep supporting you, like a friend does", he said standing up. "I bid you goodnight my friend".

As he was leaving the room he turned around, "there was one more thing" he said stopping at the door," I know the Imperator wants you to bypass the Magisterium in the vote what to do with the Venatori. I would not suggest following that through. I wouldn´t be your friend if I would not warn you from doing something that can jeopardize your position. The Venatori are a menace, but technically they did not do anything against the Imperium. We do not even recognize the position of this Corypheus as a Magister, it simply was a cursed blight monster. If you bypass the Magisterium and place a hard judgement on those Venatori idiots and their followers people are going to say you do the bidding of the barbarian kingdoms and the enemies of the Imperium".

"So what would you suggest then my friend?" the Archon said eyeing him closely.

"Unless you want a civil war in your hands I would not kill anyone unless involved directly in actions against the Imperium. Let´s face it, you have support here in Minrathous but outside, the balance is tilted. In the provinces it is a different thing. As I see it you would be surrounded with many war flags. At best it would be devastating civil war for Tevinter, at worst... You understand me. Keep it simple, forced military service in Seheron is a excellent stimulant for these "patriots", for most of them anyway. Let them work out their crimes by actually serving the Imperium. Let the Magisterium vote on that. Do not force the hand of the old families, or threaten their position. This should be acceptable to everyone".

"I will keep that in mind" the Archon said thoughtfully.

"Some heads can roll. Just to show power. Like I suggested in the list, they went too far anyway" Ukki said closing the door behind him, "I will see you tomorrow".*

Well, I'm still worried how Weekes will handle our beloved Tevinter, especially when the fans has significant amount of influence over BioWare. I fear that BioWare will turn Tevinter into a cliche stupidly evil Empire. I do wish him luck, though.

Im actually fine with the "evil empire" schtick. As long as it's a spectacular evil empire. 

 

I want to see what Dorian talks about. Streets with nothing built in the "modern" age. A kind of elegant decay and a byzantine beauty everywhere. I want to see gladiatorial matches, Dame-itt. I'm hoping for stained glass, too.

 

Is it weird that I'm stuck on the idea of a boss fight that sends you and an opponent hurtling through a giant stained glass window at some point?
