I personally wanted to support Thalmor.

 

 

I wanted that to be an option. I have four very different versions of the Dragonborn, and I know just the High Elven Dovahkiin who would be all over that.

 

I just really enjoy High Elves.

You're right about the lack of High Elf you can marry though.

Assuming we'll let you have your independence, but before you get too excited about chopping my head off. I would like to remind you that we do share the same enemy, Red. We Imperial never truly submit to the Dominion, and that damned treaty is to buy the Empire a time, when we regain the strength there'll be a war with the Dominion. Count on it.

I will not kill you, we are brothers, sons of Skyrim. Even if I join the Empire and against the Dominion and after that? we turn against each other again. Freedom is not negotiable, nothing personal, are only ideologies.
