Also off topic, but take a look at RobRam's avatar picture. That is the best looking mage armor set I have ever seen, and I hope it is a lootable/craftable/wearable outfit for our Inquisitor. Alexius is wearing it without a mask, but a masked version would be truly a gift from Dumat, or possibly Lusacan, I can't be sure about that

Tevinter having an ace is as it should be lol.
That armor is really nice. The mask is pretty intense, hopefully it's available to loot from a venatori soldier, be bought from a merchant or crafted. I hope that we can craft things with the Tevinter emblem on it, I might put it on each companion's armor. I hope there are a lot of cool Tevinter style weapons too.

I am curious if there is anything good in the Tevinter Impeirum? So far we have seen that most of them who are not slaves are slavers, blood mages, power-hungry a-holes or all of the above. Almost everything about the tevinter imperium so far we have seen is negative. I just hope that we don't see them pidgeon holed into EVIL BLOOD-MAGIC EMPIRE OF EVIL.

its a religion hence doctrine they teach it expunge hold as truth that if you question it you die. and remember the chant of light is days long to resight, there's a lot about the chant we don't know.
and I mean damn there's zero evidence in the chant to support all men being cursed because of the actions of one dude and there's even a passage of the chant that says all dudes are created equal and only those that turn against the maker and sin are punished. but for those on his path are all welcomed, unless you happen to have a Y chromosome because a man killed andraste. (makes total sense and they don't even have the first man as a cop-out)

Andraste being a mage or not doesn't really matter that much for the Imperial Chantry.
It is not stated that she was in the Chant, and the Imperial Chantry has not altered the text, although it is said in WoT that they have a few more canticles or something. It is just how they interpret the text that is different.
While Hessarian was a convert, not sure he was the first. As it seemed her friends, that guy who took her ashes to Haven, and Shartan were disciples before him, he declared his conversion publically ten years later. Although, he was the first to set up an official religion around Andraste and declared it the religion of Tevinter long before Drakon was born.
On another note, this has really become like the Magisterium, where the magister all bicker amongst each other and only unite when the Qunari Support posters invade our thread or some anti-Tevinter southerner speaks up. It does seem there are some heret... I mean believers of the old ways or those concerned only for their own power, but that doesn't mean we all don't revel in the greatness of Tevinter.
Also, Hessarian was able to crush those who opposed him when he started the Transfiguration, which means the old magisters, altus, and old god priests were weak and were unfit to rule as chosen by the divine (being old gods or Maker), so Hessarian was the greater one and showed his worth as Archon. Yet, today we see many petty Archons who are so easily assassinated, even in their prime. Indeed, we should have an Archon with the strength and resolve of Hessarian again! He is the one who pulled the nation back up after the first Blight and Andraste's just war.
