Arti that's a nice thought.

Gray...the blending of immorality and morality, of compassion and greed, of empathy and apathy.

Of course the entire labeling system is pointless regardless, it's just a notion to somehow deny the basic truth of life.

The weak kneel and the strong rule.

A sheep does not set terms of his life.

In your personal perspective then, as an admirer of Cassandra, would you call her weak for abstaining from the role of Inquisitor?

Of course.

I'd still employ her in reality just as I did in fantasy and I'd use her similarly.

She's too easily led by notions of faith and righteousness.

She's a tool.

A comrade and possibly a lover but a tool.

So yes I'd use Cassandra; I would exploit her faith and virtue and turn her into a weapon.

She'd be no different from my Glock.

You get it.

The most I can likely hope for is former soldier/ businessman turned private security consultant and aspiring politician.

Secretary of state would be a nice jewel in the crown.

Magic is a blessing from the Maker, to be sure, but it is not a gift. It is responsibility, the conferral of greater purpose. It is our charge to shepherd and protect the faithful. It is our duty to spread His chant to all corners of the earth, and purge His deniers. Some may see this as sanction to dominate and abuse the bereft. Know that this is the same arrogance that cursed the magisters of old, and Thedas, with the Blight.

Yet, was it not by the virtue of magic that the Maker's call was heard, that the heathen dragon priests would be laid low? The breadth of your abilities in life parallels your recompense in the hereafter. You can achieve the greatest of glories, or deepest perdition.

You don't approve of using people or you don't approve of exploiting the political environment of the post occupation middle east to score a easy buck and ride it into the high end spectrum of political power?

Neither.

Do you really want to talk about the middle east? I'd like to stay the hell out of it. About the only ruthless philosophy I'll take here is ween ourselves off of oil and "let nature take it's course". It's a desert.

Invest in the future, not the easy buck.

Heh I have no personal stake outside of it remaining a regional conflict zone. But that said I fought for my adopted homeland there and received little for my efforts beyond a few prescriptions I take daily.

So if my investments give me the revenue for my designs I see no harm.

She's too easily led by notions of faith and righteousness.

Fair enough, but hardly the reason she refused the role of Inquisitor. She was realistic about her own ability to inspire the masses. She's not generally considered very charismatic in universe.

Sorry. "People are things, like guns or pets." I think I'm keeping up.  :)

Indeed, but he's completely right.

There is, of course, the fact that he considers Tevinter to qualify as "the weak."

To be fair I consider probably around 73% of humanity in general to be weak.

Content to be weak.

I was among them for far to long before the crucible of war reforged me, the fires of Tartarus purged me of the weakness that plagued me for so much of my life.

As I told my therapist and in my self published account; facing life and death, having everyday be absolute...it erased doubt, in it's place came focus.

How did you come up with 73%?

Seems kind of random.

I based it on global census, the fixed rates of intellectuals, skilled labor rates, you know basically just using math to form a basis of just how many people actually make the world function.

Is it completely comprehensive? Of course not but it is a basis.

It's surprisingly revealing just how many people exist without purpose of actually living on the earth.

Good to have you back High Priest. Maybe we will have decent ceremonies now. Any good stories of your exploits?
