and the dice have been casted

So...."dice".... is that a gauntlet? :D

All I'm saying is that Tevinter has a strong sense of status and heirarchy... I find it hard that they're also going to have some random outsider changing things much. So they have that going for them at least. The Orlesian Chantry already loses the "upper hand" simply for being made to look so pliable and silly like this.

I'd prefer seeing the Qunari and Vashoth where they have bigger communities in the North. So I think it could be done well just for that.

Not that I'll start caring for them though.

Eh, over my dead body if they conquer Seheron entirely and expand further. I'd prefer it the other way around tbh, but I only see BioWare allow us to diminish the Qunari or the Tevinter Imperium's power if we're to involve ourselves with Tevinter-Qunari War, and not destroy neither civilizations completely. They wouldn't allow us to erase something entirely, not yet.

haha... i mean purely from a writing point of view. at least it'd have more coherence than some mercs running around south.

if it was up to me, they'd have never existed. and a whole Northern game would be Tevinter politics, city elves, kal sharok, and whatever history and ruins you can explore around that.

I like to imagine that most old buildings in Minrathous have secret passageways and hidden places below. And Dorian says that there are places where nothing built in the "modern era" can be seen. I wonder if there might be whole tunnel networks, making it possible to travel from one part of the city to another underground.

Indeed, it has more coherence. I'd prefer seeing more about them and their civilization, but only to learn more about them, and as for who's to support or side with that should entirely up to the player.

The whole Northern game always has Tevinter politics, city elves, Kal Sharok, and ancient ruins or lost civilization, and we have the Qunari as well.

i think we'll always get the option to take sides. but yeah, i don't see them allowing anyone to eliminate one or the other... like you said earlier. unless it was like "the last game" as ME3 tried to be. then you wipe out the krogans and geth, if you wanted. But that isn't happening here.

I hope so, although I fear they'll force us to go with their preferred choice or BioWare may choose to go with "reform the entire civilization from the inside" or "everyone unite against greater enemy" formula for their story. In case there's other civilization from other continent invading Thedas. As much as some like to drown Par Vollen in Qunari's blood or to see the Imperium crumble to the sea. I don't see either happening unless it was the last game, and speaking of ME3 I'm still trying to forget about that game...why did you have to mention it again.

Maybe there are gargoyles, or more accurately, grotesques all over the buildings. You could use them to help you climb.

I think the Tevinter decor in skyhold should have been more ornate, and there should have been grotesques, and more dark colors.

I want it to look like a Vampire lair.

Only if it's just like what happened in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

They seem better at saying "Look at this problem" and exploring it a little, but not really getting into the political details well. Or like you said, just creating a bigger problem so everyone can shed their differences and "unite" against it.

I've said this was childish before. And the more I think of it, it's even more childish than star wars prequels....which actually got into a lot of politics (first thing that comes to mind, since I watched them recently).

Sorry for mentioning ME3 though. :)

I prefer Snatch...and really Poodle, the same movie?  :P

Some of the same actors and hijinks, I know, but there are some completely different themes going on.

Also, one has Brad Pitt and the other has Sting. lol.

Two of them are used to the criminal element of London as conceptualized by Guy Ritchie, and the inherent violence of it.

The other one is just a little nuts.

Alright, yeah, there are enough difference going on, sure. But the general storyline is pretty much the same.
