Yeah, that is problematic and sloppy writing. I'm baffled how they decide to cut him off so Roche can stand in the spotlight, and even if Iorveth is to appear in the expansion they'll need to show us a good explanation to fill that hole in the plot. Agree, I think it's kinda silly how Roche's behavior to you stay the same regardless of your path or your decision in TW2, and speaking about that there's not a single word about Anais in TW3. Did I just rescued her for nothing, is she still around somewhere and safe? I don't like it when something is conveniently forgotten because "plot".

So, ''DA4'' is your last hope?

For a "DA" game? Perhaps, but I know better to not have that high expectation anymore, and I also learn to enjoy good old RPG games from BioWare or find a good side in modern BioWare's RPG games instead of hating the whole company like some people do. As much as I like DAI and TW3, I wouldn't say their writing is flawless ,tbh I never seen a game where the writing is perfect.

the only game where i found the writing flawless was probaby the resident evil series i still play it to this day mesmerized by the believability of the lore science... even bad dubbing

Corypheus was great until he blasphemed against Dumat. Notice how he begged Dumat to save him before the worthless inquisitor cast him into the fade. Dumat responded accordingly, silence.

Perhaps Lusacan will show mercy and deliver him from darkness.

Any fans of Tevinter new to this thread should join my Tevinter fan group. I've created a guide to rp a tevinter mage for all 3 dragon age games. I'm impressed this topic has gone on for 482 pages. :)

Are you sure? Remember... us about Iorveth?

I believe it is the same case, taking into account that for the third game that he is not important, it is clear leaves a hole in history, but the truth is that he is not important. He don't move the story. Of course, for the geopolitical problem, he is important, and unlike ASoIaF characters that die of anything, Sapkwoski does not kill his characters in this same way, it is hard to believe they(CD) were a George Martin and killed Iorveth without showing, leaving just a nonsense conversation.
Remembering that if you followed his route, there was a mess in Upper Aedirn region, even though it does not appear in the game, at least some NPC should talk about, not just a rumor that is hard to find, you will only hear once from an NPC, random NPC, and you can not interact, you can just listen the conversation. That does not make sense, is almost disrespectful.
However, he does not move the main story, like Roche does not move. Roche is not even important in Kaer Morhen battle.
Therefore they dismiss the Nilfgaardian invasion and put a very weak side quest to solve the geo-political problem. The game is not about that, they said, this left me very disappointed with the game. Not because has no political problem, but... that sidequest, man, to resolve a fuckin invasion? tsc, come on.
That Deus Ex Machine ending too, but that's is another story. **** you Ciri. >_>

Considering that the game is about the Inquisition, all DLC involving anything, any god or whatever... they will solve the problem. Obvious? aye, but as the game is about the Inquisition as TW3 is about Ciri, who will receive the laurels? As fans we can only cry for inconsistencies or something, they're not going to be that cool for us. But I think it's nitpicking.

The time has come to do the Imperium's most holy work.

Who's ready to slaughter Qunari filth for Tevinter?
