If he doesn't care about them he would left them to their fate. He's just deeply dissapointed in them but again he caused all of this to happen. So he felt he had to make things right but he goes about it the wrong way.

His plans involve the death of most, if not all, the people in thedas, and yet he cares enough of them to stop the qunari invasion. Solas doesn't hate the people in current Thedas (well, he doesn't like qunari much). He just thing his people, the ancient elves, are important enough to be put above the death of the rest. 

He's not necessarily helping the current elves. He needs an army to achieve his plans, and elves would be the most easily to convince to join him. And it's not like he's going to say he's going to wipe them out if this is his plan. If he really wanted to help them, he wouldn't follow this plan and do something else to help them.

I never said I hated them and it is extremely hard not to cause I'm working on forgiveness but it is not easy.

Oh please, in the other thread you were directing us to pseudo-scientific explanations for the evils of white people, claiming that caucasion peoples (Especially Jews!) were somehow biologically given to aggressive or oppressive behavior.

How the white person involved is only with the black person because they see them as a prize and also so they can breed black people out of existence, and how the black person involved is only with the white person because they are a self-hating black person who wants to be white and is a traitor to black people. Pretty much yeah. But I have an alternative if Orlais will talk terms of giving The Dales, The Arbor Wilds, The Emerald Graves to the elves and get them all out of human cities and stay there. If any human step into their territory they have the right to kill them on sight. And if an army wants to fight they have the right to declare war and only in return is to leave us alone for good. Either separation of races is the best solution or a war. I see either two that works.

 

Ah.  So you would want to lay the ground for another war that this time would lead to the actual rather than just culture genocide of the elves.  Good plan.

Except it isn't elven territory. It is the people who have lived there for generations' territory. Why should they give up their homes and ways to support themselves for the elves under penalty of being murdered? Why would Orlais even agree to these conditions?

Yes.  Your plan would surely lead to their violent extinction.  After all it guarantees exactly the kind of border incident that led to the fall of the Dales and ensures they won't have the economic and diplomatic ties that would give anyone else a reason to help or even refrain from carving them up when the time comes.  Sheer genius.  I applaud wholeheartedly.  A tragic denouement that would bring tears to one's eyes.
